Thank you Fifty and LavuranGuard.

The Sister's of Battle converted Rhino (out of a regular Rhino kit with a couple of Sister parts left over from an Exorcist and Repressor kit).

The extra height from the conversion kit really adds a lot to this model. And all the effort on the extra bits you added was well worth it. The final effect is very impressive.

The rhino also looks top-notch. That’s a neat trick with the magnet to not have it showing when the missile is not attached. Very cool.

Looks great, man... you and a few others have inspired me to give hunter-killers a try. I made three of them with the Metal & Wheels build and I'm pumped to give them a try. Love the slick magnetization too!

Thank you Camkierhi.

Now for this month's Unofficial Painting Challenge I started with the Repressor/Suppressor and then decided to add a Rhino, because the first model was so quick to finish.

Should I enter both models or just stick with the Repressor?

If I should enter both tanks, which of these photos are the best that I should use towards my six photo limit? I was thinking I would have 1 or 2 of each tank on it's own and then the rest being the pair together.

Really excellent work, Captain. The Sisters were well represented in the Painting Challenge. The Repressor is especially nice-- excellent drybrushing and detail work. Really good color palette, great contrasts and highlights everywhere you look. Nicely done.

I like the “low angle” shot the best (fifth one down) because it really emphasizes the extra height and unique profile.

Now there's a lovely face . Excellent work! Minor suggestion: I'd suggest re-shading the forehead a bit, and add one more highlight on the jawline.

CommissarKhaine, took that advice and touched up the forehead for more definition and highlighted the jawline.

Yorkright, black line first, followed by a white line within the black creating a black outline, then a black done in the centre of the white and touching the black outline at the top and bottom.

Since I mounted her on a 25mm base, these photos are over three times her actual size.

The white background is the only one that does not bleed out the hair.

Cheers,

As with the others- best of luck in the comp, this is a lovely piece. I've only tried to do 'black' once, and have mixed feelings about the result- I do know it is hard to do well (as is 'white'). This came out very nicely with your application of highlights and shading. Well done.

Thanks Meer_Cat, the white background does help certain colours, but hinders others...I should post a photo of the Sister with a blue or black background.

Thanks Theophony,

Well I have put together most of one of the Immolators. Here is a WIP shot of all the magnets I am adding to the main hull.

And in this shot I am building a combination magnet and metal sheet to keep the turret/gunner in place, but swappable with another turret to make a Rhino.

Here is Sister Superior Amalia Novena with a blue background, it makes some colours pop, but bleeds out the white.

Worked on one of the Immolators. After priming I decided to try and make a Storm Bolter Hatch to fit where the Gunner sits on the Immolator so it could double as a Rhino.

Made from an old Rhino Mark I turret hatch and some of the extra parts in the Immolator kit (with some small rare earth magnets to keep it in place during games). Just left the sprue inside the Immolator hatch to support the extra sprue holding the magnets.

Some more progress.

The spare turrets turn them into Rhinos. The magnetized turret, banners, smoke launchers, loudspeakers, and Hunter Killer Missiles are all swappable/removable...except on one Immolator I discovered I somehow reversed the polarity on the left rear magnet...
