So the spear is just a box set for the planetstrike release? I wonder if it will be full of the same ridiculous savings seen in the AOBR set.

I imagine from the model count we are looking at a $200-300 range set at the very least. As for the dark eldar no big breaking news.

THE SPEAR OF SICARIUS 142 Model Box July 04

142 Models, hmm. There were 40 in the AoBR boxed set, and it was $65. So = $200+?

And since it's a "seige" army, I'm assuming 2 Force Ogranization charts? Never seen a SM army contain 142 models for one.

"Pack of Skulls" sounds awesome, I wonder why they never released something like that before. Of course it's GW so it'll probably be overpriced, but better than buying them at bits stores at least?

I don't understand "blastscape" though...what's wrong with the craters that they just put out last year?

Also noticed the brushes are getting rereleased...how much do you want to bet they're going up in price, too?

Always nice to hear about DE progress. Certainly better than no news at all, but I have to agree that it's long overdue that we actually be shown SOMETHING, though GW has their cheeks clenched on everything these days. Do we even have pics of new SW models? Didn't see any new IG until immediately before their release.
I'm just hoping "shortly after Space Wolves" means exactly that, but with the extraordinary rate at which GW gets things done, I'm not holding my breath.

Pack of Skulls is a "bitz pack" of metal skulls. Rumors I've heard on price for that sounded fairly reasonable, although with this June 1 price hike coming who knows.

I've been told that the new Craters set for Planetstrike will be different than the vacuum formed Moonscape product and that it will be one of two "splash" limited releases for Planetstrike.

The skull pack could be that resin pack they did a while ago where you can decorate your bases with piles of skulls. I do hope that the icons are etched brass.

Yea Im thinking from $8 to $10 for the brushes but if you go to an art suply store you can get the same quality brushes for about $2-$5 but they don't say GW on the side so you'll have ta live with that sacrifice As per Warseer the skulls are metal

Metal. Expect "bitz packs" like those coming this summer are all going to be metal unless the price of making molds for plastic sprues suddenly gets a lot cheaper at some point.

Regarding plastic, wouldn't it be nice if more of the existing sprues were suddenly available again in the new bitz pack system? Personally, I bought metal Chaos icons and other bitz like that under the old bitz system for years. Now that Chaos has great icons on the Chaos Marine Upgrade sprue, I'd much rather be able to buy that than the old metal icons even though the sprue has icons for all the Chaos powers rather than a bundle of icons for a single power. GW has mostly moved along to plastic in the past year or two and with all the great new plastics so have I.

Regarding the new Planetstrike scenery, based on the picture on the box cover the IMPERIAL STRONGPOINT appears to contain two IMPERIAL BASTIONS and perhaps two IMPERIAL DEFENCE LINE sets.

There's no telling if they're even new sculpts. They might just dig out a few skull-y bits from various models and lump them together with no rhyme nor reason.

The supply does not get to make the demands.
