This guy has the greatest sense of orkyness ever!
His work says "rough and tumble", there is none of the ramshackle orkbilly present in his pieces.

Cool stuff. Frankly I think that they fit in better with the 2nd ed. aesthetic of Orks though - looks heavily inspired by the battlewagon kit from the time.
Reminds me of Armorcast come to think of it...

Oh, and for those who haven't guessed it, Tutoriaux means tutorials although it's just for little things.

So if you've got any plasticard and a passion for orks, you've got a nice amount of inspiration right there.

He has a tutorial on the site.
Basically, he heats up a plastic rod and pulls it like taffy.

Yeah if you think of it like toffee in the UK, heat up the plasticard and itll become soft so you can pull it into a shape

I assume thats how he's done it

Taffy is a sticky, chewy childhood favourite that adults inadvertently use to pull out dental fillings.

"Taffy" is an older slang term for a Welshman, from the Welsh name Daffyd, and the river Taff running through Cardiff.
It is also an American form of the English "toffee".

Back on topic, it is (apparently, never tried it) possible to heat plastic, and then pull/stretch it into shape, as with Welshmen soft toffee.

If you look a bit more closely at the guys site you will find a video tutorial (plus a bunch of other interesting stuff...even if you don't speak/read French), showing exactly how he makes the horns. He does indeed heat up plastic rod and bend it to shape.

This is an 'age old' trick. If you heat plastic rod at its centre point over a candle or t-light then gently pull the ends in opposite directions you can make very thin strands of plastic which can be laid on models to simulate weld lines and such...again, very old modelling trick.

Wait the "toffee" I've ever had is hard and brittle, while the "taffy" we have here is like a much thicker consistancy chewing gum. Is toffee in britain gooey like this?

We have both kinds too...stuff you can either break your teeth on or pull your fillings out with...we just call it all Toffee.

I'm sorry, but that thing just looks like someone "orkified" a Disney/Pixar "Cars" toy... I know it was alot of work to build, but I find it to be a cartoonish ripoff.

This piece does indeed have that old 2nd ed./Armorcast feel. It also highlights how different materials (plastics galore) are changing the feel of the current Ork army. I wonder how Kans will change if/when they do them in plastic?

I can't find anything on the site suggesting that he mass produces or sells these. Bummer- I would buy at least two. Am I just missing a link?

I think, like many modellers, he has made them for his own personal use. He may do commissions but I guess you would need to be able to read French to find out.
