I read the Ogre Kingdom and I am smitten with the fluff, also at my FLGS Ogre kingdom models have to be moved and may be sold at a discount...
Is there any suggestion with building a 1500 point list... Models to buy, tips on unit configurations, tricks to pull on opponents, units to watch out for when facing certain armies

I have to admit, I miss the old Infantry battles of 4E compared to this 5E wonderland of APCs/IFVs everywhere. It's like we jumped from WWI to WWII.

Hmm, well, I have posted a list in your earlier post, but I'll post it again. Bruiser-184 Tenderizer Heavy Armor Butcher-150 Dispel Scroll Bang Stick Butcher-150 Halfling Cookbook Dispel Scroll Troops 4 Ironguts-227 Musician Lookout Gnoblar Standard 4 Ironguts-247 Musician Standard Bearer Rune Maw Lookout Gnoblar 3 Bulls-115 Musician 3 Bulls-115 Musician 24 Gnoblars-48 Special Gnoblar Scraplauncher-175 Rare Gorger-75 1486 Total Put your Bruiser (general) into an Irongut unit (preferably into unit with Rune Maw) and Butchers in either other Irongut unit or Ogre Bulls. Gnoblars are for table quarters and what little harassment they can cause. Your Scraplauncher can either take out large units of infantry to soften up the thinling infantry or just to act as a chariot. Gorger is for Warmachine hunting. Bulls should work in conjunction with Ironguts and try to get flanks. Try to cast enhancement spells on your Ironguts to help win combats. Note: Rune maw should actually be used to re-direct spells at the Gnoblar unit Overall, I hope you enjoy the Ogre Kingdoms, their often underestimated.

The only trick I've seen ogres do is wheel to increase their charge movement and get the impact attacks.
Stuff to look out for:

I would make sure to get a fair few gnoblars, orge units combat res is terrible. Also get a couple of butchers, they can keep casting spells even if they have some remaining in play iirc.

A trick that a friend of mine uses is to use 3-bull units and place them in a row (i.e. one in front and two behind him). You have more freedom with movement. If I have cannon or bolt thrower he rearranges them, but other wise those guys just skate across the table.
He also goes with max butchers and trappers. These all working together make a rather nasty army.

In general ogres use a MSU army (ranks are way to expensive)
Take one fighty char and the rest as butchers (gut magic is really good and the butchers arent pushovers).
Take a couple units of 3 bulls with musicians. (redirector units)
Take a few units of ironguts with std/musician (fighty units)
Then fill out the specials/rares as you wish. Gorgers are usually good as you have very little to kill war machines.

A lot of Gorgers can be hard for your opponent to deal with. In larger games my friend (whom I eluded to earlier) has Skragg as his general and fields a minimum of 6 Gorgers. They are painful to deal with and can really slow down the progress of your army. Under 2000pts I don't know if those or Maneaters would be a better choice. Personally I would go for the maneaters if you don't have enough Ironguts. If protected well enough, Maneaters with handguns is a nasty unit.

Never put standards in the units! If you flee, which is going to happen you just gave your opponent 100 free VP. This is of course unless you do run a GutStar unit. Even then a BSB in the unit will do the trick most of the time.
The best thing to do is to give the units musicians and that's it.

I'd normally agree with plusARGON, unfortunately, Ogres need standards to even win combats.
An Ogre unit should never lose combats. Not because they kill more or somesuch, but because they should always be denying their opponents combat res. I've played WAAY too many games where I would have won a combat if I had had a standard (or at least tied)

I guess it comes down to personal preference. I have used my buddy's OK in a few games and found them to be nonessential. I have seen VP from standards cost people the game before as well.

You're right as well, plusARGON. I've gotten many a draw or loss thanks to the extra VP's from standards.
It does basically boil down to personal preference

why do you give your bruiser a tenderizer, the siege breaker costs 20 less points, gives you an extra strength, and does double wounds.

Siege Breaker only does double wounds on those without initiative.

so you are refering to the fact the siege breaker goes off initiative instead of ws, well id take doing d3 more wounds and almost garenteeing wounding on 2+ for a slightly less roll to hit on elves and vampires any day

Well....yes. It's all personal choice really.....Tenderizer is standard equip for Bruisers/Tyrants..... I'm also saying that Siege Breaker doesn't do double wounds unless your opponent has no initiative value, so all it does is +3 S really....
