Love them or hate them this one of their best teams ever and I would go so far to say it's the best football ever. Simply amazing really.

No they aren't. While they are very talented, They are not near the team that they were when they last won the treble. They aren't as good as the team Arsenal had back in the late 90's. Again, this Man U team is fantastic (although I hate seeing them succeed so much), but they are not near the "best football team ever"

The Pittsburgh Steelers won their sixth Superbowl, second in three years. And, they had the hardest schedule last year. They're obviously the best football team ever. People in pads and helmets fear James Harrison hitting them, hate to see what he'd do to people in shin guards.

I don't want to debate the best football team ever as comparing diferent teams from different eras just won't work. I will say however I do think they are the best team in the world at the moment and...

...I think todays MU team would beat both their 99 trebble winning team and the arsenal team of the late nineties. + the late 90s arsenal team has been bettered by the 03 arsenal team, which i still think todays Manchester United team could beat.

Do you mean they are the best team ever or they play the best football? Either way, I'm afraid I must disagree. What Man U have now is the best squad ever, their first team could be matched and bettered by numerous examples, and Barcelona play better football.

Seriously? You realise that Lionel Messi (the best player in the world), Samuel Eto'o and Thierry Henry have scored over 30 goals each this season. That's incredible. They'll miss Abidal and Alves massively, and struggle with the power of Vidic, but to rule them out is foolish to say the least.

The Premiere Division is a much tougher league... that is why I heavily favor Man Utd.

That's for certain, but have you watched Barcelona play this year? They struggled against a very physical Chelsea team, but were absolutely sumblime against Bayern Munich, who are by no means a small, weak team. I think Man U are slight favourites, but it's pretty even.

The difference between Barca and Man U is that Man U is a team while Barca is a bunch of the best players. Barca's always had a "team problem". Sad as Henry is my favorite man ever.

You haven't watched that many Barca matches have you? They play the best team football in the world, unselfish, short, quick, pass and move stuff.

I've watched loads of Barca games. They hold onto the ball far too long. they have some decent one-two stuff but other than that I've seen a lot of man carries down the wings and tries to cross it center. I'm just saying, I think Man U plays better team ball.

It's interesting how two people can watch the same team and come up with such differing opinions, gotta love football.

It's only really Alves and Abidal (who both miss the final) who are inclined to carry the ball down the wing and cross, but as full backs, that's their job!

Man U are a great team, much as it pains me to say, and I think they'll win it, I just don't think it'll be as simple as some posters here think it will be. It's the workrate of the mancs that's their stand-out, plus their better defence. Going forward, there's no better team in the world than Barca. Their goal record speaks volumes.

For as long as I can remember, Barca has had a crazy amount of goal scoring, but if you can't keep the damn ball out of your own goal, you'll still lose games. You could persuade me better if you gifted me a subscription to sky sports (all of them, damn you brits are lucky)

Sorry, but the best football team in the world needs one of the best players in the world.

Since best died they will never be the best united team (or best anything for that)






If you want to see entertaining football then watch arsenal when they field all the kiddos, no one can match thier pace and 40 mins into it anyone they are playing are fethed.


edit: if united wanted to inprove the team then they would need to buy james for goal, and terry and lampard (who wont be for sale anytime soon)

Whaaa? David James over Van Der Sar? Ben Foster will be better than James in about a year too, so long as he gets some game time. They don't need Terry either, he's really very good, but Rio and Vidic are an amazing partnership. Man U don't need to improve in defence. Lampard, I agree would be a great addition, but he isn't going anywhere.

Are you saying Ronaldo isn't one of the best players in the world too? The Ballon D'or says different.

Ronaldo aint bad atall, cred where its due he knows how to play, but he spends way too long showing off, if he got down and into the game he could end it before it starts.

when james gets into it and actually plays he can do very well, allthough hes been getting sloppy alot recently.

George best is still one of the greatest players in the world.

Agreed on all points, although I wouldn't say James's sloppiness is anything new, in fact if anything he's got better with age. He ain't called Calamity James for nowt.
