I'm looking forward to seeing how much the rich hate the poor and the United States once again ruined things for the rest of the world. I wonder how soon I can buy my tickets?

The last time Moore was interseting was his show in the early 90's on NBC. In one episode, he went to the Yugoslavian embassy while they were busy killing each other and asked to see the person in charge of warranties for his Yugo.
Since then, Moore's brain has fallen out.

Don't watch his movie. Jessie is a lot worse than Moore. He lies in wait till somebody is wrongly killed and uses that to advance his agenda. To this day I think Having MLK die in his arms broke his mind.

Agreed. Moore has such obvious bias, but some of the issues he brings up are legit. There's no such thing as "balanced" reporting especially in America. I've found it easier to find news at the poles and then find my own middle ground on what's true and what's just opinion. BTW 24 hour news is the worst thing to have ever happened in America.

I know what useful idiot means. If you are referring to him as a communist sympathizer, than I still stand by what I said, if you mean the more modern usage of someone easily swayed in opinion, then I do not. Automatically Appended Next Post: Before you stomp my communist ass, I'll just say that I don't agree with 99% of what he says, but I think it's healthy to have a substantial amount of government criticism and for it to come from many different directions. Whether its Limbaugh or Moore or Olbermann or Coulter, it's good to have so many different sources of reporting.

You're not communist. You're just young. You're supposed to be like that.
But don't mistake what he, Olbermann (sp), Coulter, and Limbaugh do is anything close to reporting.

Oh don't worry, I'm not. I was a journo major for 3 years before switching to education. I switched because I saw just how little reporting is done and how its mostly polarized political commentary. There are a few things that are decent though. I like KCRW's Left, Right, and Center program (although its still skewed quite left) and obviously BBC is nice. Our NPR stations are pretty decent. But, ya I get what you are saying. And yes, I am a youngin with years to experience still.

The whole fanfare about how Moore is terrible is ridiculous. He's simply not that terrible. Don't get me wrong, Moore isn't that good - his work fails to address decent counter arguments or misrepresents them, and he often relies on appeals to emotion over properly formed arguments.
But there's a whole lot of documentary makers out there that are at least as dodgy as Moore, and none of them have spawned a mini-industry of people dedicated to complaining about him. Moore and his fans would assume this mini-industry exists because they represent some kind of great threat to the powers that be, but that's a load of rubbish. It's just an accident of history, as Moore rose to international recognition at a time when the American right wing was at the height of its power and aggression. They were set to attack anyone that stood out, and Moore just happened to be standing out at that time. Moore, being the kind of guy Moore is, was happy to court the negative attention.
But none of the means he's worth the negative or positive attention. He's just a big fat guy that makes middle of the road documentaries, and isn't that interesting. But I am kind of interested in the ongoing industry of anti-Moore on the other hand, and their followers that just have to jump into any conversation or internet discussion to mention that Moore is really, really horrible, that is interesting. I mean really, is Moore that big a deal to you all?
