wait wait wait, your not using 2 mystics and an inquisitor? WTF thats the only reason to possibly allie with DH!

just kidding. im just tired of seeing "DH allies" that are just 2 mystics and nan inquisitor.

the list looks fun, does the priest have an eviserator? i think it should be manditory. i would prolly drop a GK squad for some more reliable horde killing like hellhounds.

There ain't nearly enough Salvage in this thread!

i haven't decided on all the wargear etc, but probably yes, the priest would have an eviserator.

atm looking for comments on whether the concept can work.

i have most of the models.

i could make the valkeries the other loadout with the anti-horde blasts. but i thought the lascannons could bust a transport for the GKT to charge the juicy innards on first turn (assuming i get first turn)

Sure the concept is sound but like all plans it needs to survive contact with the enemy. An observant opponent will counter "the Blitz" by forfeiting the first round, placing his forces in reserve or in cover if on the field, in order to minimize the damage you can do. Device a "Plan B" for these contingencies.

Not too sure about the Eviscerator for the Priest. He is still just a regular WS/BS3 S3 T3 W1 human IC, whose sole purpose is to grant "Righteous Fury". I would save the 15 pst for something else.

Well, 1/3 missions they will be able to put stuff in reserve, the rest of the time they will be losing their HQ/ whatever else they spent points on.

What kind of GK Heroes are you using? They both should just be captains imo to keep the cost down on a blitz unit.

Yarrik? why? Yeah he is a bad@$$ unit but he is better suited for other things like with regular infantry/conscripts/

Eviscerators would not be a bad idea incase you need to take out a key vehicle in their line, but a 5 pt melta bomb on the GK hero is better

Why forward sentries for Harkers squad? 30pts for some defensive grenades is pretty damn steep

Yarrik is not needed at all, he is overcosted, and with the normal priest, you already gain re-rolls, and you're fearless without Yarrik

The list looks ok for casual play, you have 1000pts in gimmick units, and 1000pts of real units, so it is not competitive.

Good opponents will not let your GKT's attack first turn, they can just stay in reserve as said before.

Priests do not need eviscerators, they have one wound, T3, IC status and a 5+ save, they will die fast if they carry anything looking like a weapon

It's a interesting idea; I personally prefer Normal Greyknights as they are a scoring unit.

The following is nasty nasty nasty.

Ironhand Straken in the center Vendetta w/ a command squad.

6 Greyknight Terms w/ Hero in 2nd Vendetta

10 w/ Priest with Eviscerator in 3rd Vendetta.

Now all of them can take orders ; receive furious charge and Counterattack.

With Straken in the middle surrounded by Greyknights and Greyknight Terms you have a brutal entry into someones deployment zone.

If I lose it is because I had bad luck, if you win it is because you cheated.

Same idea as previous post, only with Creed instead. 24" command radius and he can give the "For Cadia" command to the GKs. Furious charge on a GK termie is a scary thing indeed (as they become S7, I5)

And I totally agree with getting rid of Yarrick. Hes alright sure, but to be cost effective I would go with a CCS with Creed, or you could even go with a Lord Commissar instead. This would let you get some Incinerators or Psycannons in with those GKs. Taking out invuln saves is really useful against Daemons and even against certain Special Characters.

Just a thought

I would switch out Yarrick for a commisar lord with a fist.

As for your creed option, would make sense if Vendetta's/Valk's were command vehicles, which they are not. You are wasting a turn of your creed command squad in the open, as well as not being able to attach a GK termy squad to it

Hell Hollis why not take 9 GK termies and a Hero in a vendetta? Nowhere in the entry for GK Termy armor does it say that GK termies take up 2 slots in a transport. Turbo boost the vendetta's to where you need them, let them take some fire, jump out and go nuts.

Only issue for this being that Straken needs to be deployed on the ground and not in the valk/vend, but that is a small issue
