The land speeder storm is the pimpness! I really like it.

The defense network is the scenery plus the realm of battle game table for $559 US.

I really hope those Scouts are multi-piece and come aprt at the waist (and that plastic Storm Troopers come out soon) because I need my Inquisitorial Littlebirds!!! And I might hold off on building my other Scouts until I see what this kit can do. Some kneeling scouts could be good.

And that seems to confirm that each Bastion comes with a Lascannon and a Comm-Tower thingy.

The gunner's legs on the Storm look a little weird, is he kneeling?

In the next SM dex all the chapters are friends and you can take Long Fangs and Ravenwing in the same army.

The Storm has a great movie-chopper feel to it. I like it a lot.

The defense network is just ... very large.

The Land Speeder Storm looks sharp, even with a blue paint job.

I was planning to buy the Imperial Strongpoint bundle deal when it's offered, assuming there's a price break for buying the bundle over buying the contents separately. If there's a larger bundle deal with a price break on it, like a Defence Network without the Realm of Battle board, I would be tempted to get it. I don't need the game board, but the scenery on top of it looks great, especially in the size, layout and quantity displayed in the picture shown above.

If I only had $559 in disposable income I was looking to burn.

Table is awesome, you can make lots of diferent gametables with it... although the price is way to high.

The table is mediocre. BUT the defence network is Awesome. GW has finaly got some good 40K scenry that is as adaptable as the old card necromanda stuff.

i hope all thoes AA guns come with it.

I always swap my scout heads with Pig Iron helmeted ones, so no biggie there. Clone scouts aside, I do love how the Storm looks.

That's my guess, but I noticed this, too. Looks like he's grafted into the seat at the knees.

The defense network looks cool but IMO it's too big for that board. if they were to included maybe 2 more board sections so you could have a 4x8 then it would be much better. But then, the other gameboard set for the imperial outpost looks too small


But looking at the sprues it looks like you can combine a few of those towers into a big fortress. That might be a better way to go. the bastion towers just seem small to me by themselves...

Maybe I'll just get three Bastions and build one into a low bunker, one into a regular Bastion and the last into a tall tower of Imperial Dread(tm).

It is for planetstricke. as i gather its ment to be played on a smaller scale for more intence battles. check out the planetstricke. section of the GW site. lots of the attackers and defenders are close combat models.
