dakka? hmmm, i would make a few changes, i would run (in spirit of using your list of a guideline)

Mek
- KFF
- eavy armor
- cybork
- burna

20 shoota boyz
- 2 big shootas
- nob with PK and bosspole

20 shoota boyz
- 2 big shootas
- nob with PK and bosspole

20 shoota boyz
- 2 big shootas
- nob with PK and bosspole

7 lootas

7 lootas

3 koptas, TL rokkits

your list has alot of shooty, but no punch. while orks can definatly bring the dakka, it doesnt have the punch. i dropped the looted wagon, as it had no upgrades, therefore its even more useless then usual, and gave PK nobz to your shoota boyz. when those boyz get into CC, they will get hacked to pieces without a nob to give back some wounds. and a combo rokkit of the mek is very iffy, trusting in one rokkit that will miss most of the time will be replaced bu a burna that makes for a goof powerweapon or actually flaming a unit in a clutch.

There ain't nearly enough Salvage in this thread!

Do so carefully. It is the one thing that orks do not do well in any way, so it requires a bit of care. Generally I avoid it- Orks are good at CC, so I use powerfist nobs and my warboss to take down armor, as a result I rarely have to strike armor 14. Warboss with pk on a bike will do nicely, as will a unit of trukk boyz with a pk nob. Both cost about the same. Rokkits on Kanz can work, rarely. If you can get them into combat reliably, Tank bustas are worth their weight in gold, but at 15 pts a model, they weigh a lot. Ive also had success ramming armor with a battle wagon, but that is a bit risky.

Feasting on the souls of unworthy opponents

I'm shaking my head here in disbelief. The same things apply to every ork player, and if you were to read any of the ork lists posted on here, you'd see some good advice. As for your own list, its horrible. I could take a necron army at half strength and with a 50% phase out number and table you. =p

Worse, you've been given absolutely horrible advice on what to do to improve.

Orks can do anything that any other army can do and do it better than they can. However, they cannot do everything that any other army can do. Make sense? If you make an ork assault army, they'll out-assault any other army in 40k. If you make a shooting army, you can outgun IG or Tau. If you go foot-slogging, or mechanized, or kan-wall....all those options make you a completely awesome army, but there's a catch. You can only do one of them at a time with an army list.

If you combine a mechanized and a foot-slogging list, you're going to lose. If you have part assault, party shooting, you're probably going to lose. Your strength is in being able to pick something and be completely awesome at it. So before giving you advice on where to go next with your army, you need to pick a theme and build around it. If you want a bike army, or a shooting army; an outflanking army, mechanized, assault, figure out what your playstyle is and start building your units and armylist around that idea.

THAT is the strength of Orks.

When you decide what you want your army list to be, start by explaining what your intent is, then post an army list along those lines and we'll work from there and make suggestions.

Taking 5 Lootas or 7 Lootas is a HORRIBLE idea. HORRIBLE. You're going to lose a couple models and the rest are going to run off the board. A single template will wipe the unit. *sigh* Anything you do Orkishly needs to be done to maximum effort. You take lots or you take none. Figure out what you want to do and we'll revisit your list.
