I completely Love Left 4 dead, and to hear they are making another one makes me happy and surprised.

New survivors, maps, guns, bosses, and melee weapons yay!

But i don't understand is that what will come of L4D1, would people still play it? will they new DLC added to the game?

But one thing saddens me the most, no Bill

L4D2 comes too close after the release of the L4D. I think they should have released from DLC from L4D and then released the sequel in fall 2010.

I had mixed feelings about L4D2 after it was announced, valve siad they would have tons of DLC for the ooriginal to keep it new and fresh for a long time...

I figure they must have been having more trouble than they thought with the original but lets hope L4D2 has enough DLC to keep it afloat for a long time

Reminds me of point lookout for Fallout 3 coming soon actually. I like that fat black guy in the blue shirt, he looks like the main hero because he had a chainsaw. He also reminds me of that george foreman guy who made the grills.

L4D2 IS all of the DLC that was going to be in the original. They instead, are pulling an EA, and trying to make more money off of it.

Only unlike EA you will get a good quality product that is not rushed and / or buggy as hell.

And George Foreman only promotes the grills, he didn't make them. He's a boxer.

No, he made the grills in his mad science lab. He also made the george foreman zombie that just sucks the fat right off of you.

I've liked the pace of the Fallout 3 DLC actually.

As they've simply been minor expansions, and in some cases they don't do much more than add new gear and a few new quests. Point Lookout is the most substantial DLC to date.

I still think Valve is making a bonehead move, but they can do whatever they want.

God forbid, a company making product to earn money.

Lolwut?

I'm also psyched about this one, a lot more features. I loved playing online in the casual set, a lot of high people and occasionally strategies break down and it's pretty hilarious. Great times, can't wait for some more.

I was raised in New Orleans. All the novelty wore off when I was 6. All that was left was the drunk tourists, rude inhabitants, and the fact that the city smells like pee.

Oh, and one of the highest crime rates in the country. All in one city that's so poor, suing the city gets you on a 10 year waiting list for the first payment of your money.

I wonder if the chainsaw would actually be of any use at all. There's no way it could badly wound someone fast enough to take on a group with it, so I assume it's designed for killing Special Infected.

It's actually pretty fast! * lucky miss beta* Thing with the melee weapons is you can only use them as long as your holding them...A bit like the fuel can, where you have to put it down to use something else. The biggest scary for me that i have seen is the charger, uber infected that wont let you back up against the wall...makes everything very naughty.

Where's the basis for your criticism? It uses the Source engine, which admittedly is a little bit dated now, but it's still a great game. What's bad about it? It's meant to look dirty and grimdark, this is, after all, a game about a zombie plague and the ruination of America.

Valve is already working on this, a Portal sequal, L4D2, TF2 updates, a TF2 movie and something else, it is called MULTITASKING, something a big company can do.

I've watched every single video I could find on IGN, Gametrailers, and Youtube. It looks fine to me.

This is why I mentally facepalm a lot of your posts. When you criticise something (which you do a lot), you don't have anything to back it up. This game isn't even open for a public beta test yet.

What do you expect in a zombie plague? Of course the bloody zombies are going to keep coming after you, it's the point of the game, just like the army/Blackwatch is after you in Prototype and the Empire are always after the Rebellion.

It's not just set in new orleans....there are also a swamp compaign that is all set at night a desert one if i remember correctle that has both night and day and even the day ones have AI weather that reduces visability and makes it very dark.

However HL would be my bench mark for crap games so i guess it's each to there own.

As a foot note the realism with the melee weapons makes for some hair raising experiances...when that fire axe gets stuck you better think fast! |LOL

From what I heard the campaign starts in South Carolina/northern Georgia and works to New Orleans for the final level and escape. It isn't set up the same way with 4 distinct campaigns, but an overall story instead.
