Trying to come up with a new list to use. My first tournament with my marines resulted in a resounding 0 and 3 and I'm trying a completely new build with these guys. Any input is welcome. Thanks in advance.

The second one defenantly but depends on the situation.

I really like the first one, but I would drop the Whirlwind and give the tac squads rhinos.

It depends on the situation. If you want an army which is stoic, as would fit the background of the IFs, then take list 1. However, if you prefer the fluid gaming style of a GT, then take list 2.

Not only have you turned your back on the Emperor and stepped from His light, you have profaned His name and almost destroyed everything He has striven to build. You have perverted and twisted the path He has laid for Mankind to tread. As your own decrees have stated, there can be no mercy for such a crime, no pity for such a criminal. I renounce your lordship. You walk in the darkness and can not be allowed to live. Your sentence has been long overdue, and now it is time for you to die."

England.

In my opinion take the second one.
The redeemer is more effective against most targets and will allow your termies and Lysander to get to the front quicker.

Change these to Assault Terminators w/ TH/SS the reason being that a 2+normal/3+inv save is just awesome!

Troops:
Tactical Squad 10 man with multimelta, and meltagun
Tactical Squad 10 man with missle launcher, and flamer

Heavy Support:
Land Raider Redeemer with pintle mounted multimelta
I wish there was a way to make this a normal Land Raider but you don't have any points to move around really unless you change the HQ.

I agree change those around to Assault Terminators [not marines]. Land raiders do not have firing points, so those ranged weapons will be mostly useless.

Personally, I like the Redeemer and Crusader better than the standard land raider.

I use a LRC with my 7 man + captain terminator assault squad.

Yeah I meant terminators lol! But the reason I like the normal Land raider is the lascannons because you may see some small mech armies with the ability to just circle your army and pick it apart. Sure you have a MM and a ML but with only 24" range on the MM and a S8 on the ML it will only go so far. But a lascannon can penetrate anything even a Monolith that 1 extra strength goes a long way! Its like the different between a power armour save and a terminator armour save. Just my personal opinion I still think it's an awesome list and the redeemer is a great tank!
