So, I had an odd situation come up in a game and was wondering what the general consensus on how to play this would be. I was playing orks vs CSM and rammed a LR with a trukk at 25 inches (there was a road). My strength 8 hit did nothing, but his strength 10 hit destroyed my trukk. As a result, my boyz jumped out 1" away from his raider and proceeded to assault and immobilize it. We both agreed that it didnt seem fair that my boyz could assault after the trukk moved 25", but we could find no rule to disallow it. If this move is allowed, does this mean if you intentionally destroy a trukk by ramming it into something you could potentially assault 27-33" on the first turn? Granted, it is highly situationally useful and has a 2/3rds chance of not working, but this seems abusive.

The problem is, there do not seem to be any rules regarding this in the BRB. The only thing I could find is the part about passengers not being able to disembark from a vehicle moving flat out (as the trukk did).

The problem here is the Trukk's ramshackle rules.

If a waveserpent rams a vehicle and suffers a "vehicle wrecked" result, it's passengers are destroyed (although if the vehicle explodes they mysteriously survive). However, the ramshackle rules have their own damage table that supercedes the BGB damage table... and it does not mention that passengers that cannot disembark are destroyed.

Indeed. I would have to say they can indeed assault.

Was talking to someone here, and he said he would ask for them to Emergency Disembark and Become Pinned.

I tol him to lrn2read rulebook

I keep having to explain to people how emergency disembark does not equal pinned... they never believe me, and I have to go through the whole rigamarole of showing them the definition for "turn." Then they still don't believe me because people just don't want to learn 5th ed rules. It's been a year...

Did a fist fight ensue? Tried to convince an ork player he couldn't fire out of a trukk if it moved more than 7...

Feasting on the souls of unworthy opponents

Phew...this would give an Ork player a 39" assault range under optimal conditions!

25" move
2" deployment after the lost ram.
6" fleet
6" assault

Because orks always have fleet I am sure.

Oh, and the fact that it requires you to be on a road, exactly 25" from a Vehicle that will blow up your trukk and then have something nearby to assault. And you have to have Called a Waaaagh!

hardly optimal.

No you've got that wrong its

25" move (on road)
Both vehicles roll vehicle explodes
roll on ramshackle 3-4 ... and moves 3D6" (up to another 18")
2" deployment
6" fleet
6" assault
= up to 57" under perfect conditions!
