After reading a few Ork lists and some advice on them I've created this list. It shares elements of my old list that I liked, but is more focused and has more models on the table.

Two squads of 5 lootas are pointless. If you lose two of them they are probably running off the table. It needs to be one squad of 15, or just don't bring them along (which I recommend in your army)

Ok this is going to be a long reply

firstly remove 1 group of lootas and replace with tankbustas

then swap big mek with ghazgkull thraka or kaptin badrukk

then get some killa kans and deffdreads for eavy support

--_*BoSn*_--

p.s not as long as expected

If people are shooting at my Lootas that means more vehicles live to drop their cargo off.

*shakes his head in disbelief*

Dude, you win the award for the worst army list posted thus far this month. Absolutely, hands down. If you look around at the various threads, I write pages and pages of critique and fine-tuning finesse for folks and their lists, replete with tactical advice and playstyle pointers for certain encounters....

And this list is so bad that the only advice I can really give you is to advise you to scratch the entire thing and start over again. I *will* copy and paste some generalized advice I wrote elsewhere for you as initial guidance. Since you've apparently not read anyone elses' Ork lists on these forums ANYWHERE EVER, I'm going to direct you to go read them for specific guidance instead of writing things here that you can read elsewhere. On to my copy/paste.

Orks can do anything that any other army can do and do it better than they can. However, they cannot do everything that any other army can do. Make sense? If you make an ork assault army, they'll out-assault any other army in 40k. If you make a shooting army, you can outgun IG or Tau. If you go foot-slogging, or mechanized, or kan-wall....all those options make you a completely awesome army, but there's a catch. You can only do one of them at a time with an army list.

If you combine a mechanized and a foot-slogging list, you're going to lose. If you have part assault, party shooting, you're probably going to lose. Your strength is in being able to pick something and be completely awesome at it. So before giving you advice on where to go next with your army, you need to pick a theme and build around it. If you want a bike army, or a shooting army; an outflanking army, mechanized, assault, figure out what your playstyle is and start building your units and armylist around that idea.

THAT is the strength of Orks.

When you decide what you want your army list to be, start by explaining what your intent is, then post an army list along those lines and we'll work from there and make suggestions.

Yeah, taking a second to look back at that changed my perspective on that thing. I'm not really sure what I was thinking with the Lootas or the footslogging boyz.

Anyway, the new list should be much better.

EDIT: I see what I'd done, I had the 20 man boyz squads in the BW's and the Lootas taking cover. However I like the new nastier Nobz, and Burna boyz better anyway.

EDIT 2: The intent of this list is to be mechanized orks that get into things on the second turn. I can see myself dropping a pair of Burnas and a Nob for boarding planks and grabbing Klaws on my vehicles.

Drop your Deff Rollas.

Most stores have ruled against using them on vehicles, so you need boarding planks, grabbin' klaws, or something else.

Red paint is a MUST HAVE if this is an assault based army. Red paint on everything. Also, reinforced rams. Also, boarding planks to provide you your anti-tank.

Dropping your Deff-Rollas will free you 100 points, and you can spend that on maxing out your boyz, or something else. You'd find orgasmic joy in upgrading that warboss to Ghazghkull Thraka, I promise. I don't know if you can afford him pointwise, but you need an answer to terminators with lightning claws. Nothing in your list can take down a terminator squad very well; you're going to lose boyz and boyz trying it, and burnas would be wasted.

Take the kombi-rokkit out of your nobs...if you ever shoot at a vehicle with your nobs, you did something wrong. =p If you're trying to distinguish them for wound allocation, you can give one an ammo runt for 3 points instead. You can also have a normal nob if you need. I think 6 nobs is dangerous; you should take 10 or none...

I play with friends at home and we've used Rollas on vehicles so that isn't as much of an issue, but I'd ask before using them in a store. That makes the planks and such unneeded until I decide to take my orks out.

As for the Rokkit, yeah I could save two points but I ended on an even 2,000 so I figured it couldn't hurt. I could drop four or five burnas to get myself three more Nobz to fill the squad. However would doing that make the rest of the Burnas ineffective? If so say hello to Ghazghkull!

With so many vehicles, space can and will become a concern. You definitely need Reinforced Rams on the Trukks.

With Burnas, I find 10-15 is personal taste. I don't run 15 as I haven't really felt the need. If I'm laying 10 templates down, it's usually enough. YMMV.

Ghazghkul is nasty if you can find points for him. As previously mentioned, he is the x factor that can slow down assault Termies. After losing 30 Boyz in one assault to Assault Termies w/ a Chaplain, you'll quickly start looking for ways to stop that. For myself, Ghaz was the answer.

Which brings me to Nobz. Some folks feel running 10 is the only way. I don't. After using Ghaz, I've found 6-8 are just fine. They are a great counter assault unit and are still durable enough to hold onto objectives. Plus, I don't sink too many points into one unit. But, with your configuration, I'd recomment either getting Stikkbomz or a Stikkbomb Chukka; you will be assaulting with multiple Big Choppas, why not utelize their Initiative 4 (on the charge). Also needed somewhere for the Nobz is a Bosspole and a couple of Powerklawz.

Good luck

No earth shattering, thought provoking quote. I'm just someone who was introduced to 40K in the late 80's and it's become a lifelong hobby.

Added Ghazghkull to the list as he is just too good to pass up.

As for vehicles, I've explained the Deff Rollas and will use them pending my group telling me they don't work on vehicles. Rec Paint and Rams, if I could shave more points I would, but I don't know where to get the extra points from besides cutting my Burnas down to 7 and that isn't very tempting... Any suggestions on how to add the red paint and rams are welcome.

As for Klaws in my Nobz, I have 2 and Ghazghkull will ride with them so he can either rip things up or go his won ways as needed. Stikkbombs are nice again, but I keep running low on points for the things I feel will make my list run.
