but can anybody whos played it or has it tell me what the think

I'd definately give it a go. Looks great, very tense, and an enjoyable experience overall. I recommend it!

You get to throw mutated foetuses across the room and stomp them into a pulp with your armoured boot.

ZOMG dead space is the greatest, i had no intention of wanting this game till one day i got bored and after that i was hooked. its bad ass and scary as hell. the weapons are so sweet cutting beasties limb from limb. If you seen a movie called event horizon its like that. zero gravity fights are sweet. GET THIS GAME

The buggery of it though is trying to activate the thing with EA's screwed up 'secure-rom' feature.

Before you play it, watch the animated prequel film, Dead Space: Downfall. It has plasma chainsaws.

Played it all the way through last weekend on a mates PS3 - very, very cool. first time through is tough, ammo and cash is low, keeping it tense.

second time through, you keep everything you earnt the first time, allowing you to max out all your weapons and the suit.

And the final boss was not a dissapointment, which is nice for a change.

Very fun game. Nice to see more "gritty" Sci-Fi.

Worth a purchase if you want to play through it multiple times, otherwise just go ahead and rent it. You can beat it the course of a week.

Loved dead space, i have completed it 4 times now and everytime i get bored of something i always end up back on it. Watch the manga first! Recomended all the way!
