hey guys, i have to submit my list for the necronomicon.... and I have a couple choices. What should I bring?

Option A
fate weaver 333
Blood thirster, unholy strength 270
8 Blood crushers, icon, music, fury 360
7 plague bearers and icon 130
5 plague bearers 75
6 tzeenctch with bolt and changling 122
5 tzeenctch with bolt 100
Prince with Iron hide/Bolt/MoT/demonic Flight 230
Prince with Iron hide/Bolt/MoT/demonic Flight 230

Option B

Blood Thirster, unholy strength and blessing 275

7 Horrors with bolt and changling 139

OR Other... I have a bunch of models and most are fairly well painted. I like Option A since it has more things that aren't gonna die to a single lascannon or melta gun shot and are fairly durable. BUT since I am only running 2 princes that way... they may not be as good....

I would go with a mix of A and B. I would drop the 2 princes for the 3 grinders in list A and use the extra points for more plaguebearers.

:( the sad thing is... the grinders will die very easy vs the amount of melta guns that are in the metagame now... my original list did run 3 grinders but man they get pwned by things quick.

I would go with triple nurgle dp with boc nt flight and cof.

can't get bolt of change with nurgle princes....

IMO BoC is better. Here's why. Bolt of change S8 AP1 sounds cool for busting tanks takeing out a MC TEQ's ect... but breath of chaos flamer template wounds anything on a 4+ with no save even cover but it only glances tanks but thats what you have 5 flying DMC... plus with a mark of nurgle you get a T6 which is way better than a 4+ inv save.

Yeah because one of your main issues is gonna be Swarm and Hordes. Nothing like 4 flame templates to take care of that.

I dunno... blood crushers make short work of horde

I am still a big fan of grinders. I would consider running two with tongue and phleghm. One big blast shot the turn they arrive can be devastating. The short ranged railgun is great against all armor but of course they are BS3. You should be able to mulch all armor in close combat except for landraiders possibly but the Bloodthirster can make short work of them. I am not a fan of Kairos. He costs a lot and you could use those points for a Khorne Herald on a juggernaught with Unholy might and Fury... He can also pop landraiders as well... Plus you would still have enough points for another solid unit. I would probably go with two grinders and one flying nurgle prince for your list.

Awww...you say necronomicon list, and i was expecting to see a necron list. :(

Your Bloodthirster only has the correct cost in list B.

I fixed the costs. Unholy strength is almost a mandatory upgrade.

I think you should kit the Bloodthirster with Blessing of the Blood God... It's really cheap pointwise and makes him pretty much lash proof so he can go after lash princes.

I am guessing you are running two daemon princes since the meta game has shifted towards melta heavy armies. Have you had a chance to playtest with the two princes? I am curious if you have experienced good results in comparison with two or more Soul Grinders.

I wish blessing protected me from lash... it only protects vs psyker powers that "cause wounds".... :(

honestly about the princes? i've had no time to test since its finals week and i've been busy with school. I am running them since my friend who is coming with me is running my other 2 grinders!

I do hate the melta meta game shift however... everyone has them now a days!
