I'm not really a gamer but does your squad take wounds after it has lost a close combat. If you could point me the page where it says in the not so pocket size rule book it would be appreciated. thx for advance.

Every time I hear "in my opinion" or "just my opinion" makes me want to strangle a puppy. People use their opinions as a shield that other poeple can't critisize and that is bs.
If you can't defend or won't defend your opinion then that "opinion" is bs. Stop trying to tip-toe and defend what you believe in. |

The Hammer of Witches
A new day, a new time zone.

Units with the Fearless, rule, and a couple of other similar exceptions, since they don't fall back when losing a combat, have to save against extra wounds if they lose a combat.
Check to see what the Fearless rules have to say on the matter.

Actually the rules you are looking for are on Page 44 under "No Retreat!" This details when it happens and what happens. But yes, only units with Fearless, ATSKNF and a few other exceptions

How exactly does and they shall know no fear make you take extra wounds in close combat?

If you get caught in a Sweeping Advance, instead of being totally wiped out you instead suffer No Retreat!

From a fluff perspective, being fearless means that you're getting beaten down, and instead of running away you stick around to continue getting beaten down. The extra wounds signify the beating that you're taking.
