Hi there!

My friends and I are planning a Necromunda-Campaign, so I started assembling my Gang. This is what I have so far:

(left to right) Scout, Boss Fedosev and a Mercenary

Heavies and Special (Every bit on the Hvy Bolter comes from a different box^^)

Fatty, Rasputin and Sting

Compensate, Uggface and Sting

Morale Officer Gus (with the beer) and The Kid (the juves in my gang will carry all the equipment)

What's to come:

We will be using some of the AshWaste rules, so I'll build some vehicles/beasts, plus some more juves so I can have a cheaper start.

I hope I didn't violate any forum rules with my first post, and I hope you like 'em (or at least have something to say about them)

Cheers,
cathar

Interesting beginning. It looks like you´ve gone for some (pts wise) very expensive heavy weapons, it also looks like you have three heavies?

Also, ordinarily juves can´t have basic weapons, assuming that the morale officer with the beer is a juve.

Not that any of these are huge problems, if you´re playing with house rules..

So what rules will you be using, other than Ash Wastes? What are you going to do for color schemes?
Will you make a harness/compensator rig for the HB guy? His gun looks mighty heavy.

The gang seems very shooty, looks like a long range kind of plan you´ve got here. How will you deal with close combat? (Most of your gangers have basic weapons, and will therefore have only one attack in cc.)

That´s all I can think of for now, keep on trucking, and remember to do cool bases! Necromunda deserves a little extra lovin´.

I know I have too many heavies. I built more models than I actually need at the beginning, so I have more options and don't have to convert finished minis when I get new stuff. I'll probably just start with the grenade launcher at the start.

The morale officer is a normal Gang member, he just didn't fit on a picture with the other ones.

We're basically using the normal Necromunda rules, but since the campaign doesn't take place on Necromunda but on the planet Antioch, in one or more of its Hive cities, we use different weapon lists to represent our own houses. We also use the additional rules from an Ash Waste ruleset I found (don't know if it is something official), so I'm planning on building some beasts/vehicles too.
The only house rules we're making is for using neutral "Boss-type" models for special scenarios. For example I already started building a crazy technician/psychic who lets loose his Demonmachines on the gangs.

I will try to GS some leather straps on the HB guy, he does look like the weapon is slipping from his hands... I haven't really thought about color scheme, but probably something black/blue-ish ^^

And I hope I can fix my close-combat deficit by building some more Juves as meatshields.

So, I think I answerd all your questions.

Any more input would be greatly appreciated, people!

The Ash Waste rules were made by the guys who used to run the Specialist Games site, and are as good as official, I´d say.

They are really good fun, been using them myself for the campaign I´ve been running. We eventually skipped the house weapon lists altogether, they were just too restricting we felt.

Interesting color choice, I imagined something in reddish browns, probably because of the bretonnian bits...

Ooh, one morething, when you take pictures, try getting a sheet of paper behind the models, a white background makes the pictures easier to look at, and you´ll get more replies i suspect.

Too much free time makes me do silly things.

Bio-Engineering in the 41st millenium is always big fun:

Boss with Bolter and Ganger with Autorifle (is that the English name?)

Gangers with Rifles

Ganger with Pistols and (extra) Knives

Specials with Flamers

I had these Bloodletters sitting around way too long and finally figured out what to do with them. I'll build and paint them so I can eventually lure some of my friends into the campaign who don't want to spend any money on miniatures ^^

They still need a little GS work to fill the gaps and connect arms and weapons.

Ideas? Comments? Anything?

I second this request. Whilst the cultists/gangers are cool, I'm in a big stompy robot phase at the moment.

Those mutants are great I really don't like the regular bloodletters but you've turned them into something excellent!

So am I. These guys will be bosses in some special scenario I'm working out at the moment.

Here are pictures of the Recon/Guard robot. The initial design is a fake from this Dreadrider thing by BobPanda, with my own tweaks to let it look more robot and less spacewolf.

This one was the first I built, just out of boredom:

This is the newest one. I still need ideas for the head and arms/weapons (thinking about two-handed sword/axe)

These last two were built using nothing but pieces of sprue and bitz, mostly from the Ravenwing and Chaos Vehicle sprue.

So, as soon as I'm done with the Eldar Exodite Gang, I can start GSing and hopefully painting.

Great stuff where did the legs come from?

They're completely scratchbuilt with bitz.

I always use either pieces of sprue or longer bitz (like vehicle/heavy weapons ore missiles or stuff) for the initial pose and then add bitz to make them look bulkier and more mechanic.

Time for some serious threadomancy!

I'm still working on these machines from time to time.

The last one I did was taken apart again and rebuilt to this beautiful construction here:

view from above: back weapons and engine

The belly: shows that this is indeed the former robot number 3 ^^

Leg detail (one broke off during photo session)

I'm calling it the "Doctor". One of the arms will be a claw-like device and the other will hold several syringes and saws. Or something in that direction.

NO idea yet for the head but that has so far always been a spontaneous decision and has always worked well. Although I'm open for suggestions ^^

I also green stuffed the gaps on the little demon-critters, but no pictures yet.

The whole bunch will get paint on them as soon as I scrap together some money for white primer (any suggestions for a good one?)

Cheers,
Peter

"Straight Fething Silver" Tanith first and only

I have a reputation, Modile, a reputation as a fair, honest man who treats his soldiers well and supports them in the face of darkness. Potentially, that reputation makes me soft. It seems I understand failure and forgive it. Some, like Kowle, believe me to be a weak commissar, not prepared to take the action my rank demands. Not prepared to enforce field discipline where I see it failing. I am an Imperial commissar. I will enflame the weak, support the wavering, guide the lost. I will be all things to all men who need me. But I will also punish without hesitation the weak, the incompetent, and the treasonous.
I am a Commissar. I am empowered to deliver justice wherever I see it lacking. I am empowered to punish cowardice. I am granted the gift of total authority to judge, in the name of the Emperor, on the field of combat.
