I need some advice on how to construct an honor blade for my custom ethereal. His staff is made from a large paper clip all I need is the blade. I was thinking about using plasticard and green stuff but I have never used plasticard before and do not know were to buy it. I want to create a blade similar to the Tau Ethereal with Honour Staff one.

-I will try to get some images of my ethereal up by tomorrow (he's a little bit taller than a standing fire warrior)

Hey good greenstuff work

Latest GW Tau Ethereals models have a bit of an Egyptian theme Howabout a Tomb Kings blade of some description?

EDIT - Sorry, just read you whole post. Didn't really answer the question, but still think my idea is good.

Wow Tau codpeice!

You can get plasticard from hobby shops, but oddly not from places like AC Moore. However, you can get plastic "For Sale" signs and the like from Wal Mart pretty cheap, though the thickness of the card is set.

I do like Flashman's idea though, since it would save you a lot of work.

Grey knights nemesis force halberds have a similar blade. It's got a bit "bulkier", less elegant look to them than the honor staff one, but I think it could work. Take a look

What is it with you and splucting and spulcting? LOL.

To the OP: If you're decent at sculpting, blades aren't too hard to do, just let the putty cure for about 20 minutes, sculpt the blade, and shave and file it down to a hard edge.

I know. I'm evil.
I saw weird stuff in that place last night. Weird, strange, sick, twisted, eerie, godless, evil stuff. And I want in.

Thanks for the advice. I think I will try to sculpt a blade, then if that fails I will try to acquire some plasticard, and if that fails then I will have to scrap a blade from another model.

Nice posing on the model.
