Does anyone know what the rough worth of the books are? I'm trying to decide whether to ebay them or stick them on bartertown to get a rough idea for what to ask. thanks

When I bought mine around 2000 they were about $100 each, I'd assume they are at least as much now, maybe $150? That's assuming almost new or better condition.

"Lost and the Damned" seems to regularly sell for more than "Slaves to Darkness".

From what I recall, and when I was looking into it to sell mine a year or two ago on eBay, 'Slaves' probably goes for about £30-40, 'LatD' for nearer £60-80. That's in good condition, I've never seen badly damaged ones for sale. They appear to be about this price on eBay now.

Ahhh..the old and new testament. Those were great books when they came out. I was not fortunate enough to be able to afford them when they came out. I had a friend who had bought a set and he made everyone wash their hands before looking at them. Great stuff.

Being as it's a GW publication, if the binding is in good shape I'd expect the price to go up...

Working on someting you'll either love or hate. Hopefully to be revealed by November.

Lost and the Damned goes for more as it was only out for five minutes* before GW dropped it, consequently it is much rarer.

Any book with a d1000 table has a lot going for it.

I got mine of e-bay in 2000, paying $90 for one and $110 for the other. Right now, I'd love to get my hands on 1st edition orks (I think it was called "Ere We Go" and/or "freebooterz"). I also wish I had 2nd edition orks and tyranids as well as epic Hive War. All great stuff.

There's 3, "Ere we go", "freebooterz" and "waaaagh the orks". I have the 1st 2 but I'd sell a kidney for the 3rd.....

That sort of goes completely against Lost and the Damned, no?

I have Slaves to Darkness and bought The Lost and the Damned on the day it came out. I remember waiting about 4 million years and being super-excited on the day I came out 'cos Nurgle was my favourite Chaos God. Those were the days.

I also had 'Ere We Go and Freebooterz.

One guy is sking for 60.00, the other is for 90.00 for Realms of Chaos

The other guy is asking for 140.00 for Lost and the Damned.

I wouldn't sell either on either, if I were you.- You are going to get hosed.

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.

Yeah I paid $100 to $150 for my two.

For real rarity try and buy Chapter Approved the First book of the Astronomicon.

For those interested I did retro reviews of both books, a search should turn them up.
