Simple question, I was wondering if this fine product can be purchased from a store anywhere. I keep hearing about it, but can never find it.

Target is where I get mine. As te3b0r said, it's usually in with the automotive cleaners, not the household cleaners.

Should be in almost any mass market department (Target, Walmart, etc) or grocery store.

Look in the cleaning isle sections. It comes in a clear spray bottle and it is shockingly green!

I would avoid the lemon scented stuff

From my experience it does but it took a major soak. I am talking about 3 weeks and then some SERIOUS scrubbing with my old electric Tooth Brush. Also some models I had to score a bit to break up the seal to let it soak into everything.

Is Simple Green the best? (ie for plastics?) Or is there something even better? Simple Green sounds like a lot of work if it takes 3 weeks plus an electric toothbrush.

TYRANID ARMY and more for sale. Many Price Drops. 40K and More.

Well that was in response to the Dull Coat part. Most of the minis I have soaked its about 8 hours or less depending on paint used and such. Plus no funky smells and its re usable with no harm ever done to any of mine so yeah its well worth it to me.

About to eat your Avatar...

I am pretty sure you soak it, then scrub, and scrub, then scrub and re-soak, then scrub. Or whatever the models tells you really, after all it is the boss.

Yep that is exactly how it goes, can be a p.i.t.a. if the model is uber bossy....

Simple Green works better with thin coats of paint and a decent (used) toothbrush. It struggles with Enamels and multiple coats of caked on paints. I prime with OSH brand black or white (depending on how old the figure is), and the simple green just wont take off that first coat of primer no matter how long I soak it. SG works best on metal figs. I have a whole platoon worth of Praetorians that came clean over an extended afternoon of soaking and brushing.

I have some epic 40k eldar soaking now. The primer coat was particularly thick and vicious, but I had to give it a go because the figures are so dang hard to get ahold of anymore. The white primer is lifting off at about 2 weeks soak time, but the black primer is being stubborn lol.
