For Black Templars, Initiates are your Tacticals, and Neophytes are the Scouts.

...right?

Why waste this guys high initiative with a lowly thunderhammer? Also, BT still use their own codex for Storm Shields, so its only a 4+ in CC, you could swap out the Hammer and the Shield for a Halo and Power weapon +Meltabombs for the same cost. You could even remove this guy entirely as the EC now satifies you minimum HQ requirements per the BT FaQ. Though you would be losing the LD bump, something BT do need badly.

Not much to say here, the best of the options!

Good choices, but again without the bonus from the new SM codex I think 2 TH guys are not effective as they could be. Switch to 4 LC and 1 TH for better results. Also I think your costs are wrong on the LR crusaders. I believe they are slightly more than you have listed there.

I think you could safely remove the EA from the rhinos without a problem and maybe even the smoke too. In 5th it is so easy to get a cover save with a tank (combined with your having 2 land Raiders) that you should be able to keep them hidden from view enough to completely obscure them or at least gain a cover save.

Also, if you do remove the Marshall I would suggest adding a naked Pred Annihilator. Those things are pure gold and are really cheap!

I think you will have problems against another Mech list with ure 12" antitank range. Your rhinos gets poped and then ure shot to pieces pretty much try add some speeders with MM.

O H I am in the Webway...

I do find this list a bit lacking but I like the overall composure if that makes sense...

I agree with whats stated above that 4 TLC 1 TH/SS is the best way to go if not straight LC.

I would drop the PF from the Initiates and run double MG's.

BT EA and Smoke is actually great choices. It's cheap and effective. Especially if BT's get the old smoke rule (everything can only glance).

I think as it stands the list will do OK. I do agree that it might be a good idea to find some room for some HF / MM speeders or some MM attack bikes but TBH this will work.

Yes thats right on the Initiates. I ran a dual landraider list a few weeks ago in a tournament. I was doing really well until I went up against a Vulkan list. I ran two LRCs with 14man squads, two razorbacks with TL lascannons and 6man squad, two vindicators with power of the machine spirit anda drop poding dread. Worked well but when the landraiders went down I felt very naked. The only thing that really worries me in a list like that is the melta spam from a drop pod or a fast unit like speeders getting in there before the termies are in position. It would be a real interesting list for sure.

Ya if I remember right the LRC is 265 base for BT.

I lost all the extra armour for adding the cost of the land raiders, and edited the Marshal's wargear to make him less expensive.

BT do get the older Smoke Launcher rule where everything can only glance, indeed. but I reckon for the first turn or so, in order to get my Rhinos moving, the Extra Armour wont be as worthwhile as I reckon it would have been.

Bah humbug indeed.

Anyways, more critiques welcomed!
