Man I love FFG more and more !

Roseville, Minnesota (June 19, 2009) Fantasy Flight Games announced today plans to release Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay Second Edition rulebooks and supplements in the for PDF download on the DriveThruRPG and RPGNow websites.

"While multiple future WFRP releases are in the works, we wanted to make it easy for fans to obtain these hard-to-find books", said Jay Little, Lead RPG Developer of the Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay line.

The first wave of releases, available today, include the Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay Core Rulebook, the Old World Bestiary, and Sigmar's Heirs. In July, Wave 2 arrives, consisting of the Game Master's Pack, Plundered Vaults, and the Old World Armoury. Future waves will arrive every few weeks throughout the summer, with plans to have more than twenty books available for download.

The original files are being updated to incorporate errata, and the PDFs are being generated in an easy-to-use format with handy chapter tabs and searchable text for greater utility.

Only downside being that I own all of these already.

Still holding out that GW will do something similar with the Specialist Games range. Lease the license AND the molds to a third party who can then flog them on to us.

GW gets it's money with no risk that way.

But, uh, the PDF rules for most of the Specialist games are already free...

Necromunda is the 'easy' one, as I think it should be quite easy to find suitable minis for Necromunda from most companies that make modern or futuristic 28mm minis.

Others may be harder to do, of course.

GW should put the ones that are already free pdfs on the pdf stores so people can actually find them.

As for them selling the molds to another company, I don't think that would ever happen. GW is too controlling about their minis.

The only stuff FFG is getting, they have to make their own minis for it. as the Chaos in the Old World (or COW?

) previews are showing.

Does Talisman use minis?

I am waiting for hte Vampire Counts book to come out. It is the only one I cannot find for a reasonable price in online shops, or as a PDF
