I'm curious to see what people's Mob lists look like. I would like to see your lists at 1500, 1750 and 2,000 points.

I plan to run the Kan as my primary competitive list. I already know there will be 2 big meks with KFF, a whole LOT of boys but what I don't know are 2 things:

The first is how to kit the Kans. I saw a lot of back and forth on a previous thread about KMB's or Grotzookas and I like both. I was thinking of a KMB and 2 grotzookas in each mob. That will give them the ability to take on infantry or vehicles (heavy or light)

The other deal is how to fit in Lootas. I really want to fit in 2 units of lootas. Easy in the 2000 point list but waht about 1500 point lists?

Current Armies:

Warmachine:
Shae Pirate's Life 50
Durgen attrition 50

WH40K:
Orks (5,000 pt Apoc Kan Wall, 1850 Bikerz)
Grey Knights (1850 Crowe Purifiers, 2500 'Ard Boyz Draigo)
Sisters of Battle (Seraphim spam)

WHFB:
2400 Empire
3000 Tomb Kings

So . you're running a shooty list?

Loota's, Kans (I prefer Rokkits for shooty vs. Zooka's), SAG, Shoota boys.

Trick is if you want to mount your mobs or not because the Kans take up your HS slots, hence no battlewagon bunkers.

You'll be suprised at the sheer amount of shots a shooty ork list will be able to generate.

Instead of asking everyone to post here, why don't you look around? The first page here is 3/4 commandeered by Ork lists. Read some of them.

Here's something I just cooked up off the top of my head. 'Ere we go:

HQ:

Big Mek with KFF, burna, cybork body, bosspole and attack squig (135)

Elites:

12 Burna Boyz, 3 Mekz (225)
12 Burna Boyz, 3 Mekz (225)

Troops:

30 Shoota Boyz with 3 Big Shootas, including a Nob with PK and bosspole (235)
30 Shoota Boyz with 3 Big Shootas, including a Nob with PK and bosspole (235)
30 Shoota Boyz with 2 Big Shootas, including a Nob with PK and bosspole (230)
Deff Dred with CCW, skorcha, armor plates and Grot riggers (Big Bad Burna Boy--110)
Deff Dred with CCW, skorcha, armor plates and Grot riggers (Big Bad Burna Boy--110)

Heavy Support:

3 Killa Kanz with Big Shootas (120)
3 Killa Kanz with Big Shootas (120)
3 Killa Kanz with Big Shootas (120)

DA 'OLE FING: 2,000 points, 122 Orks, 11 Kanz/Dredz

The Big Meks lead the Burna/Mek mobs. The Kanz clank ahead in front, shielding the Boyz and Burna Boyz against enemy fire for as long as they can. Their longevity increases considerably thanks to the Big Meks' KFFs and the Burna mobs' Meks staying in base contact with some of them. The Big Meks themselves tend to the Deff Dreads should they become damaged. Woe betide your opponent should this slow-but-stompy ensemble reach his front line...

How's that?

[Edit: Further elaboration on how the list should work.]
[Edit 2: Fixed minor points calculation error.]

Are you sure? Plenty of Big Shootas to keep the infantry busy while the Kans and Dreds seek out the tanks...which could outrun the Kans and Dreads, but not if they wanted to shoot.

That is what I would go for. Such a high volume of fire and the only obvious weakness is to AV14 vehicles (until you get close and use your PKs or DCCWs to pop them).

I am not a fan of Dreads, as you can see, but Lootas are nice. 40+ Lootas in three mobs is disgusting. That is no less than 40 shots and upwards of 120, if you roll a 5 or 6. Ugly stuff. The Grotzooka is a champ, too. A pair of str6 small blasts will rain on anyone's parade. The Meks just give a 4+ cover to the Kans, who help give a 4+ cover to the Boyz (or a 5+ for those who only are in reach of a KFF).

Fun stuff.
