I was at a Local Game Store yesterday and I picked up the Steam Tank box.

Has anyone else seen the price on this item? $57.xx?

Was it mispriced - or has GW finally lost their mind?

Don't give them any ideas. as for the price of the battlewagon, yeah its not cheap but its the same as a land raider (and a similar size) wheras the steam tank is about half the size of either kit which means it should price out more like a vindicator, however as was stated in the previous thread on this, its still cheaper than the metal one so GW see it as a price reduction and that they are doing you a favour by charging you less.

Why did you buy it if trhe price is so high?

If the internet discounters are the only people selling the Steam Tank GW will get it through their thick heads that it is way too high in price.

They repriced the Battlewagon from $50 (or $55) to $57+.

The Steam Tank is about the size of a Leman Russ Demolisher.

And it is NOT cheaper than the metal one. For the longest time, the metal Steam Tank was $50. If they subsequently bumped it even higher, well, nothing to say there, just glad I already have mine.
