Four str4 hits vs armor 10 with a re-roll for armour penetration.
Hits, not shots.
Just curious.. depending on the outcome, it may be a secondary viable way to use a unit.

I did mention hits, not shots. Meaning bs is irrelevant.
So four str4 hits vs AV10, with a re-roll, will get about 1 glance per go of shooting?

Each armor pen roll has a 1/6 chance of a glance. With a re-roll, it becomes: 1/6 + 5/6 * 1/6 = 11/36 to get a glance with each hit. Which is a little less than 1/3 (12/36 would be 1/3).
The percentage chance for NONE of the four shots to get a glance is: 25/36 ^ 4 = 0.2325 = 23%. So, the chance to get at least one glancing his is 77% (note, this includes the chance to get 1, 2, 3, or 4 glances).

Okay 77% of somthing happening. Awesome enough for me.
The unit in question is a platoon command squad with four flamers. If they're ever in a de-gunned vendetta.. now I know they stand a chance to do somthing to rear-armor.

I am curious, what unit gets a reroll on the pen chart?
