Now, yes as stated in the title this is a WIP of my warsmith mounted upon his great robot chicken. This was mainly inspired by the WoW Mechanostriders and I do have a storyline/reason for him exist and to battle in my red corsair army.

-There was a chaos chosen of the Iron Warriors Berossus' grand company who dreamt of ultimate power. He began to claim he was receiving visions from the chaos machine god and locked himself in his workshop. He didn't come out until weeks later with only sounds of something being constructed behind the giant iron doors. After the sounds stopped his comrades became worried and eventually got their Warsmith to break down the door and where faced with a monstrous metallic construction. There, in the centre of the workshop stood a giant robotic chicken, two red lights came on in the darkness and the metallic beast rose its head, screeching with a metallic grating sound, smoke belching from iron vents. There he sat on the great monstrocity. "Do YoU LiKe mY LiTtLE CreATurE ThEn?" he giggled with insane glee. He then burst through the doors on the metallic beast and gathered his few loyal followers and comandeered a battle cruiser, a converted Valkrie and set out into the stars, fighting for anyone to eventually gain ultimate power. He joined the red corsairs on their travels and struck up an allegance with Huron Blackheart. He has been fighting with his loyal devastators with Huron ever since.

Anyway, that's the fluff, here's the model (In progress)










I will make some rules up for him and the chicken, i'm going to make his torso pinned so he can be on foot and chicken if someone doesn't agree with the chicken rules and his rules will reflect the servo harness i'm going to give him, he'll also have a hammer and a meltagun probably.

10/10; I lack the words to say how cool this is! I think everybody will agree to the rules! Great use of bits and a very humorous model. Put a grenede-launcher as an egg-launcher and a flamer called
,,Kentucky Frier" on it!

Love the robot chicken concept, I may do something similar as a Chaos dreadnought. It would be particularly suitable for a Tzeentch 'blessing' A mini version would also be great as an Obliterator. Hmm, just got a bizarre vision of a robot chicken emerging from an egg-shaped drop pod - now that would make a cool diorama...

Back to your model, I think the feet need some little back claws (and side claws too?) to make it look a bit more stable. And I think some little stubby (i.e. flightless) wings would be good, perhaps functionally counting as armour for the hips (and to protect the rider).

Looking forward to seeing further progress on this.

That chicken's dynamite

Man I thought there would be video of a war smith on robot chicken.

Well, I made some changes with the acctual chicken. I've added some claws of the feet to make it look more stable and also used gauss sticks to make pistons between the legs to add structural support and make the legs look a bit more bulky. I've repositioned the legs to make him look more dynamic, also i've added the rider.

The warsmith wont be able to be on foot and on chicken because i've decided that i'd prefer to make him look really cool on the chicken instead of sacrificing modelling freedom so he is detachable. He's basically a techmarine but with the legs chopped off, i've replaced the bolter with a chaos melta gun and i'm going to paint chaos iconography on. I have thickened the pelvis to make it fit with the torso, also one of the legs is partly bionic.

For tournament and battle's where the player isn't comfortable with the rules for the chicken/warsmith i'm going to make, he counts as a Chaos Lord on bike with a power weapon, combi-weapon and meltabomb. If you have any ideas for the chicken/warsmith rules please post them!

Only quibble is the use of the techmarine torso almost completely unchanged... at least file off the symbols they detract from a great model

Great idea, I hope to laugh till I poop upon seeing this when painted .

I made a few little changes, mainly greenstuffing and filing off icons, I left the cogs because they look AWESOME but got rid of the skulls. I've made some cracks on the base and green stuffed the leg pistons. Also, I made some green stuff moulds for some icons to stick on the chicken/warsmith.









The paint job is going to be basic Iron Warriors colours, Boltgun Metal armour, Shining Gold trim, Sunburst Yellow/Black danger stripes and black recesses. If you have any ideas for variant schemes or ideas for the chicken please post them. Also remmber he has an allegiance with Huron and i'm going to make some Iron Warrior Havoc mercenaries for my Corsairs who's probably going to be led or associated with him. (Probably the people who left his legion with him)
