Fiends better then Bloodcrushers?
I am Bloodcrusher guy, but my friend as been raving about Fiends as evident with his blog post.
http://bloodofkittens.com/?p=813
I think he makes some good points. I just know my Bloodcrushers absorb so much fire and even if they do not get in combat they allow my other units to do there jobs.
So what do you guys think?

They require a cover-save on the turn they drop down (if they come first) or/and a more immediate threat (like some suicide flamers/cheaper plague bearer troops etc) They also require that tarpitting unit to help them bounce around but this can be done by the troop types - less essential though. A full 180pt 6 model squad will drop 8 marines on a charge & can do it from 19-24"; So judge to drop them 14-18" away, with some cheaper infantry (or perhaps even a scary demon prince - somthing tough) dropped inbetween & they should do alrite. Otherwise 12 wounds @ T4 on a 5++ will evaporate relatively quickly.. buut being able to deep-strike outside of double-tap range & still be able to charge is a very good thing. They also work well against a mirror match, equal pointage of four bloodcrushers - dealing 5 wounds & recieving about 1.3, assuming they get the charge - but thats the point, bloodcrushers generally work alot better with support, they have that potential. Fiends can work alot better solo, an addable capable highly mobile assault unit.

The only time my Bloodcrushers have not worked is when I get a bad scatter.
I was thinking Fiends would a be a good way to limit a bad scatter and still be able to get into assault.

In 1.5K I run both, they have different uses for different situations, and it depends if you know how to use them

10 fiends charge 8 crushers (2x5) - ofc assuming the fiends get the charge;
The crushers loose 6.7 wounds (3 models)
The fiends loose 4.4 wounds (2 models).
It looked alot rosier but I was using a fiend WS of 5 & forgot to apply the 5+ invunerable to the fiends sucessful rending attacks - still, fiends come out on top.
But the crushers will work alot better as a core element of an army, becoming much more of a force with support. The fiends are stand-alone, as I see it.
