I spoke to the staff at Warhammer World about this, most of the GW guys thougt it was pretty funny.

Probably laughing at the customer, no doubt. "LOLZ why would anyone buy a 40k box and a Fantasy box? They're not the same army!!1"
Either that or they find the idea that the guy at the register would actually refuse a sale hilarious, especially for that reason. You should be encouraging people to buy all sorts of stuff whether they need it or not, even if they don't play that army!

Indeed. It was some of the events team I spoke to about it, we were having a drink and a chat over the guard codex at the time and I was lamenting the lack of HH supplement, but anyway, I mentionned this, they all knew it and the impression I got was that pretty much everyone had seen it or knew of it-- showed it to my local GW guys when it was printed. General consensus was that soemone must have had a bad experience at a store some time.
They knew about the Terry Fethwit strip as well.

Daft bit is, having done the training, this is kind of close to what your supposed to do, as in help people with their purchases with good advice, rather than just sell any old tat to any old punter.
But yeah, so far off the mark of the above intention it is brilliant!
Feel free to print them off and distribute to your local GW, especially you swarthy foreign types who seem to have the most trouble
