Well as we all know the 2009 Ard' Boyz Tournament starts soon so I thought I'd post my army list up here and hopefully everyone will give feedback on strategy ideas, or ways to better my forces. I currently play Tau so I'm going to list my army and strategy.

Tau - 2238pts

HQ
Commander Shas'o - 174pts
Shield Generator
Stimulant Injector
Hard-Wired Drone Controller (1 Marker Drone, 1 Shield Drone)
Missle Pod, Fusion Blaster

Elite
Crisis Suit - 2
Flamer, Fusion Blaster, Missle Pod

2 Stealthsuits squads - 6 (no team leader) 184pts each
4 burst cannon
2 fusion blaster

Troop
4 Squads of 12 Fire Warriors (no transport or anything, and only pulse rifles) 120 points each
2 squads of 12 kroot -84 points each

Fast
2 squads of 8 pathfinders - 226 points each
Each squad 3 railrifles and no squad leader
Devilfish have - Disruption Pod, Multi Tracker, Targeting Array
Burst Cannon, Gun Drones

Heavy
3 Hammerheads - 165 points each
Rail Gun, Gun Drones, Disruption Pod

My strategy is to start with harassing the enemy as fast as I can with my hammerheads, so that they have to constantly keep
out of the range of all 3 hammerheads, making it more difficult for them to effectively manevoure and flank my army. My pathfinders
will go to either one side of the enemy or both depending on their movements, and lay down some fire from their rifles to keep them
pinned down, and they will use their markerlights to help my frontline forces. The devilfish will transport my guys (of course) and will make for good cover, and if the enemy gets too close I'll deploy the drones and hopefully pin them. My firewarriors will be playing frontline and will do whatever I deem nessecary (as well as taking points). The Kroot will infiltrate and will lock the enemy in close combat long enough so my forces can get into position. My Lord will be backing the firewarriors providing fire support, as well as markerlight support. My stealthsuits will infiltrate into a position so that I can setup a kill zone for vehicles that my hammerheads can't see. Finally my crisis suits will either be backing the firewarriors on the frontline, or I'll deepstrike them near my stealthsuits just in case.

A couple of things:
2500 pts means you can (and should) max out your crisis suit teams. Which means 3 x 3 Crisis Suit teams with PR/MP/MT.

Stealth Teams with just two fusion blasters/burst cannons are confused and will contribute nothing to the army. They "might" pop a tank, but will probably get ignored and you're fire warrior gunline will get popped.

Your unmounted Fire Warriors will get destroyed by anything that is dedicated to killing infantry (which is a LOT of things) Either mount them up (which means you don't need a full squad) or get some broadsides to make a proper gunline.

Pathfinders with Rail Rifles? A definite no no. You need pathfinders to use their markerlights to boost the rest of your army.

Why are you giving your hammerheads gundrones? 2 BS 2 Strength 5/AP 5 shots? Switch to the SMS.

First off are you under a model restriction or do you have quite a few more to choose from? Cause to be honest your whole list needs a re-write. The units have no focus.

Read up on some of the the other Tau lists that have been posted to see what I mean. If you take this to Ard Boyz your gonna get eaten alive.
