This video was just a test for youtube HD Beta. It turned out good and I finally worked out all the bugs in my software to get high quality output.
I plan on doing this Ultraforge Plague Deamon first. Don't worry about the lighting in the video, it was a test for clarity and I didn't bother editing the levels or brightness/contrast. Easy fixes.
Bit if I could get you up close and personal in a tutorial and for FREE (always) why wouldn't you check it out?
HD full size version on youtube.

Go for it say I, your other vids are both more interesting/useful and better produced than most I've seen.

Thanks for the great comments guys! Yeah the cool thing about HD is if I upload it defaults to Regular and instead of having the HQ (high quality) button you got HD. I'm working on the tutorial start-to-finish on that guy in the test. The Ultraforge Plague Daemon.
Very nice Les, one thing i noticed was that it worked better when the mini was stationary and just the brush was moving. I think this is an artifact of compression / streaming but it seemed that every time the model moved there was a count of one or two seconds before it came back into crystal clear focus again.
Other than that, I think it looks great and i cant wait to see the whole thing.

@ Stubby- Yeah I noticed the movement issue but I'm trying to make the model look good. And keeping it stationary will hinder me. It wont move much while my brush is moving so I think the best parts will be clear.
@Gofenris- LOL I imagined you saying that in Chef's voice. Yeah the test video was to see after all the compression and upload to youtube if I could still have the clarity where it's needed. The empty brush just there to see if the camera ignores it and stays focused on the mini.
The tutorial on the daemon will be done in a week or so. I plan on doing a sectional tutorial. Like doing the face (as all the techniques used there can be used on the rest of the skin) and then moving on after painting the the rest of the skin off camera. This will prevent me from having Videos Part 1 of 20. That way I can do work time elapse FF and only slow when needed.

That's probably the camera auto-focus. LBursley, you might want to experiment with focusing manually and then locking it off after you found the right focal length.
Though I don't really mind it, you could also try and remember to pause for a couple of seconds after you move the model and then edit it out/speed it up?

@unistoo-- The camera doesn't have manual focus sadly but the stop record between moves is something I'll try.
@luna-- I use Sony Vegas Movie Studio Paltinum Pro 9for editing the video about $112 direct download. I render as 1280 x 720 HD MPEG-4 with AAC audio Using the Sony AVC tamplate but adjusting the FPS to 60 instead of default 29. That's what youtube wanted and it worked great

LBursley wrote:Adobe Premier Pro is the video editor they have. $799 to buy. ><
Aww... i'll try asking my cousin tomorrow if he have , thanks for helping !
( i still have lots of questions regarding videos , i make AMVs on youtube )
*Back on topic , im curious on whats holding your camera while you paint? pic of it? :3
My paint desk is an old computer desk with pull out keyboard tray. I hold the camera in my Citadel Hobby Vise sitting on the tray while I paint on the upper surface about 2 inches higher
Ok dakka dwellers! Things are looking good. By that I mean the first installment of NURGLE HD tutorial should be finished up in a day or two. But here's a pic of what has been covered so far. Basically the first video shows him change from the primer you see in the HD video test to THIS!
LOL and I haven't even started with the highlights. You better believe we are going to cover that

I cant wait to see the video. Im sure Ill deffinetly pick up some helpful tips watching it. But that being said. I hate you, and your cursed skills!!!!
He's getting better Video 2 should be out in the next week or so.
Yes his face has been left alone for tutorial 2 so thats why it has more green and yellowish hue to it. Highlighted the skin everywhere else and purple and blue glazes were applied to the shadows. We will make the face match in the tut As well as all the red areas being touched with the new dark shiny gore
