Australia, mate

Games Workshop have finally made the game affordable.

In seriousness, these mistakes seem to happen quite often on the GW site. Before Vampire Counts were released I recall the Varghulf advance order cost 9,999 pounds.

Yeah there is no more add to cart button. Hmmm could they be phasing out this box for a September release?

They're probably phasing the box out because it's a bundle.

On a side note, you CAN add it to your cart, you just have to do it with the little button on the thumbnail instead of from the product page.

GW is phasing out the "hobby" bundle, not the BfSP set, which is now a whopping $75.

Presumably, there will be a new "hobby" bundle for $99.95 or somesuch coming later.

But the idea that GW is going to re-up on WFB after only 3 years is pretty crazy, even for GW. The problem with WFB isn't the rulebook - it's the army books, specifically DoC and VC.

Same thing happened to me.

It would have been sweet if it was a working mistake.

I have a question , according to better business bureau , wouldnt GW be obligated to fulfill the order , even if its due to their mistake , till they fix the problem?

I think they would only have a problem on their hands if they took the money for the product and did not deliver it. Although, it does smack of false advertising. However, I think cases like that are very difficult to make any thing out of unless you have actually incurred some kind of damages. No damage done here.

@Luna: And given that it bombs checkout, you can't order it.

Given that it clearly states "discontinued", there's no implied promise of more being available to order.

But feel free to try. I'm sure GW would be happy to refund your $0 back to you...

Most companies are required to hold by the listed price, unless there is a obvious and blatant mistake - like "this costs zero dollars and zero cents."

Back when the Valkyrie was put up for at $50 US on pre order, GW was required to honour that, as it easily could have been a $50 kit. This is not the same.

When it is a clear and obvious mistake (i.e. $0), companies are NOT required to hold the listed price.

Ergo, GW has ZERO obligation to the Customer in this case.
____

You are correct that GW would be required to honor $50 Valks (and B5A) sets ordered prior to the price "adjustment".

If you read the fine print in GW products they have EULA that basically states you are not purchasing the models but leasing them and that they still retain all intellectual and property rights.

If I lose it is because I had bad luck, if you win it is because you cheated.

Heh, seen something like this before, last time I saw it happened it was the new Nurgle Plauge Marines box, pratting around I and quite a few others on Warseer ordered some for a laugh to see if GW would complete the order.

GW corrected the error and said to most folks the old 'ha ha, whoops our mistake but your not getting the deal' and then reset the price to the correct one. It was at this point I was charged for eight boxes.

That was one of wierdiest calls I've ever had to make I can tell you.
