Hi all,
I'm new to the game and I'm trying to tune a 1500 list. I'm trying to make it fast, without too many miniatures. Of course I want to win more times than loose, but I won't be competing anytime soon. After reading a lot, and purchasing some things, this is what i got:

HQ
Biker warboss with attack squig, boss pole, claw and cyborg body.

Big Mek with SAG

HEAVY:
Battlewagon w/ Deff Rolla, Red paint, stick bomb chukka and armour plates.

Looted wagon w/ big shoota, red paint, stick bomb chukka and reinforced ram.

ELITE:
10 burnas (they take the looted wagon)

12 lootas

LINE TROOPS:
17 shootas, 2 rookits, 1 CC nob. (these go in the BW)

11 slugas, 1CC nob in a truk with red paint, stick bomb chukka and reinforced ram.

11 slugas, 1CC nob in a truk with red paint, stick bomb chukka and reinforced ram.


FAST ATT:
14 Storm Boyz, 1 Nob with claw and boss pole

I still have 20 more boyz, 6 bikers, 5 kopters, 12 noobs and 10 gretchins + runt herd, that could be used to modify the list. I'll try to avoid purchasing a lot more before I know what will really be used, but if a bit of tweaking and some new stuff can substantially improve my list, then i'll get what it's needed.

I feel this list is lacking scoring units and i'm not too sure about the burnas+looted wagon. What do you think?

Sorry, I just like to confirm if I am missing something. You ONLY have 2 troops, 1 slugga mob 1 shoota mob??? If thats the case, then yes, you are lacking scoring units.

For a start, you may want to consider getting at least 2 battleforce. You ll need the boyz anyway, since it seems that you have too little of them.

Are the rest of your 20 boyz shootas or sluggas?

the other 20 are undefined, still in the box. I'm thinking about converting them into commandos just for fun, but I won't until I know I won't need them as boyz.

Sorry to disappoint you, but it looks like you are going to need them as boyz.

Bear with me, but I am trying to guess what will give you the most pleasure with your current models. Make your bikers nob bikers, take out the looted wagon and stormboyz.
I always have alot of fun with nob bikers.

I almost forgot about the Mek. Give it KFF, it works better for your list.

I readed the list, but i have to convert the commandos, do not have Ghaz, only have 2 trukks... So I'm trying to see if what I have can be made into a decent list before purchasing more stuff and also what would be the bare minimum i would have to invest.

I was thinking bout the nob bikers, but all the talk about how they are now in danger because the new codexes made me leave them "unbuilt" And would you reccomend only 6 of them?

Between 6 bikers (boyz) and the stormboyz i went with the storm, but if 6 nobs are better then i'll try them.

About the other boyz, 12 slugas in the looted while i get another truck? 20 shootas footsloggin? do i leave the burnas also on foot?

And where would you put the kff? drop one of the bw shootas?

Nob bikers are still strong and survivable, just that they are no longer an AUTOMATIC win (which is a good thing anyway). Personally I am an advocate of nob in trukks. But don't worry, 6 bikers will do fine.

Put the Big Mek into the BW.

Either all slogging or all on vehicles

Stormboyz are fun, but in my opinion not very reliable for their cost. They need alot of support. I ll suggest go with the bikers first.

For the moment I like better the idea of trucker nobs better. Less points, so i can use the 12 of them. The thing with nobs is that in the ork tactica article they were described as a bad choice so i let them aside. I'll try them by myself

That list will eat nob bikers. Here's a few things you can do -

1. AoBR warboss...name him Ghazghkull.

2. If you don't have kommandos, leave them out and use something else. Another trukk full of boyz. A squad of something you already have.

3. Moar trukks! Go to Walmart, go to the toy section, and for about $5-10 apiece, you can buy a toy that is the right size for a trukk, already assembled, painted, probably has buttons that you can push to make sounds, and might even be freakin' remote controlled. Prime it or do other things to it, and glue orky bits onto it. Voila, trukks!

4. Check out e-bay; you can find some early edition oop stuff for super cheap. I added 60 gretchin to my army for the cost of $0.15 apiece, as opposed to GW, who wants $2.50 per gretchin.
