Dear god it was scary reading through this lot of tripe, and some poster had the nerve to say it's societies fault for their ignorance!! No, it's because they are stupid. Even if they went to one of the worst schools in the UK, there is nothing stopping them from watching the news & documentaries to at least have an idea of what is going on in the world.

I read through the Grab-bag of various posts following the "Babe-fest"/jk.

Universally, you get racists, eneducated and bigoted/mysoginist people everywhere.

But as far as the BNP goes, scary. Be afraid. Be VERY afraid.

If they get enough popularity, they may start burning books in the street.

I think the world is aware(mostly) what happens after that.....

People have an instinctive bias to take notice of information which justifies and supports the opinions they already have, and exclude conflicting information. This is inherent in human psychology.

If you have more education and brain power, you can be aware of this instinct and use logic and reasoning to reduce its effect. That’s why statistics and so on were invented.

A problem with stupid people is that they do not have the cognitive skills to recognise their lack of cognitive skills, so they think they are cleverer than they actually are, and they don’t see the need to validate information presented to them.

Why were the comments on the article more concerned with them all being "ugly" than stupid and racist?

I have a hard time believing that if they were men they would have gotten anything near that reaction. The BNP doesn't seem to be the only one here that's prejudiced...
