As the thread title says, what's your go-to flavor when you happen to have a tub of that stuff?

Strawberry without a doubt. The other ones are always too artificial tasting.

I go for the vanilla because I am boring.

Strawberry is such an under appreciated ice cream flavor.

Strawberry. Man I love that pink stuff, it has so much more flavour than the other two.

Strawberry here as well, although I'm happy to take some vanilla as well.

I'm actually really curious to study if there're any weird psychological links to strawberries and gamers. Everyone else I know go chocolate or vanilla.

Well my wife is the reverse if that helps, She'd rather have the Choc with a bit of vanilla.

I haven't had that stuff since I was a kid. I usually ate the vanilla and the chocolate equally, and left the strawberry because it tasted like plastic.

usually chocolate and vanilla, never ever strawberry. in fact, it would be better if they just didn't have that dumb pink stuff contaminating my box of ice cream at all. just have a vanilla & chocolate box, thats all we need

Stawberry, the chocolate didn't taste right and the vanilla was kinda bland.

When I was younger, I used to go for just chocolate.

Now a days I go for all three! Its like doing three chicks at once!

I usually go for the chocolate and vanilla. Any strawberry that ends up in my bowl is usually just collateral damage.

I will go with vanilla as my first choice,but strawberry is my next fav.

I'm actually kind of surprised that vanilla is trailing.

I'm finding this question strangely fascinating. The logic behind peoples' decisions can also be interesting to discover too.

Apparently some will eat the strawberry first 'cause they like it the least.

Straw berry because while vanilla and chocolate go together well i find strawberry just doesnt fit when you bit em together...

Plus strawberry is awesomeness frozen

Once my mate attended a sports club meeting and everyone was asked to bring some food.

The fat lard gave them 2/3 of a tub of Neapolitan ice cream that he had eaten all of the chocolate out of, leaving the vanilla and strawberry.

This thread just reminded me of it.

For me the point of Neapolitan is to get all three flavors at once. Only getting one flavor out at a time is a waste. I don't view neapolitan as a way to get three distinct flavors in one package, but rather a way to get a great tasting ice cream that is simply comprised of three flavors.

The chocolate, strawberry, and vanilla all work really well together. Probably helps that those are my three favorite flavors though.

It's really annoying when someone just eats a single flavor out of the box.

Why don't they just go and buy an entire carton of that flavor?

Vanilla is its own great wonderful flavor. The assertion that vanilla is "plain" is absurd. It's no more plain than plain chocolate or plain strawberry. I wish this stereotype would be eliminated from thought and the phrase "plain vanilla" would cease to be used.

Sounds more like you and everyone else decrying the "artificial taste" of the various flavors are just buying low quality ice cream.

Unless you genuinely don't like chocolate.
