Some people play to win, some people play for fun. Me? I play to kill toy soldiers.

Honestly, this kinda of uni has a role that seems to over lap heavily with pathfinders. I have a hard time imagining tau commandos who aren't at least already involved in a stealthsuit or pathfinder team.

As for rules, are you saying the entire unit can take special weapon? what's to keep me from simply buying a huge unit of these guys with fusion guns and flamers, and totally obsoleting outflanking stealthteams or even kroot?

and for pricing: a marine is 16, a marine scout is 14, and both have better statline and rules. This needs work.

...Rule 37. There is no 'overkill.' There is only 'open fire' and 'time to reload.'

Why would they have BS4 when the rest of Tau are BS3?

To be honest I think all we need is a flamer option on the stealthsuit teams. That would give stealthsuits more utility. They are basically commandos anyway.

It does over-lap with pathfinders, etc.

The idea is a unit of Tau that can operate independently from the main cadre for periods at time.

Note, it does say may take 1 weapon. Not 1 per model, 1.

BS 4 can be reduced to 3.

I'm thinking of giving them a Networked Markerlight, The option of a Devilfish, and drones.

The idea of it is kinda meh, but I was bored.

What I think is wrong with it is that I need to clearly define a purpose for this unit, as other units in the Tau Army can do their job with either more efficiency or for less points.
