I don't know whether I should be. I wish Atlantis had gone on for longer, and I'd like to see the Goa'uld make a comeback.
I'll reserve judgement until it premieres. I've got the Sci-Fi channel on satellite TV, so I'll be seeing it the moment it's released.

But yeah, it looks pretty good from what I've seen. Lou Diamond Phillips is also a personal favorite bit character, so they've got that going for 'em too.
I just hope they don't pull what they did to Robert Patrick in Rising to Lou.

The Last Chancer Who Survived

I loved the original stargate move, the series was ok but it just got old.. like "Hey folks, what gods can we kill this season?" like they just had a mythology book and went down the list and saved the jesus freaks for last. Atlantis didn't really do it for me. Only reason I watched either was because it was on before battlestar galactica 
that being said, I'll check out SGU and see what it's like
