I think its time for me to move onto painting some infantries , which would you be interested to see me fail with!

Ork boys? Cadian Infantry? or perhaps Catachan?

Fail is such a harsh word...

catachan just base coat skin wach in ogry flershhh andd do metals n keep armor n stuff black and highlight codex grey? that would look okayish, but seeming this is a 30 min job are we expecting a full highlighted contrast squad or a table top color slap?

OR you can just paint orks and wen you use the army make sum excuse like "oh sorry for the fail painting yano its my first army and needs, an update wen i finish tuning my car at home *yano wun of those fast and the furious style wuns* and when my girl stops yano well we all kno were im goin"

I vote jungle fighters. We all know luna rocks with greenskins, I'd like to see what luna's catachan might look like.

i dont even know what base color to coat them in -_-

I doubt you could fail even if you wanted too.

sorry L, I'm basing my opinion on your ork kans and what not.

What would you guys be more interested in:

Normal Colors in day light
or
Lighted hall ways ( like in Aliens movies )

Any of those options will look good with devlan mud.

They are also harder to paint! Their huge muscle / flesh would make coloring + washing look bland.
not to forget the tons of random straps >< ( i actually find Cadians the easiest of the bunch , Catachan the hardest )

I don't thin them or anything, maybe just a slightly moist brush but other than that I just brush it on in a nice thick coat.

I'd just go Cadian and use those as a general testing squad. They got skin, armour and cloth in abundance.

Here ya go Luna, you'll have to excuse the face etc. as they were painted long long ago, but the fatigues and chest piece are what I've been tinkering with nearly there with the armour but need to try a few things with the fatigues:

Ahh grim , that looks very good.

I was thinking of painting them to this color: ( what i meant by night color scheme )

I use a wet brush but otherwise straight out of the pot

(quite possibly if vallejo had tiny bit of oil )

Hmm, gotta agree there. I use Vallejo for my Valkyries and Vultures and GW washes have some trouble with them.
