Subject: Codex/Wargear question

It may seem like a pretty simple question, but I am a new player. I just had a question about the wargear of ork units in there newest codex. under the army list, it says boys have 2 assualts, they can take slugga choppa, or a shoota. If they take the slugga choppa that means they get an extra assualt from the slugga and an additonal from the choppa giving them 4 base assualts, 5 with a charge. Is this correct? or is the unit section already assuming that the ork boy gets 2 melee attacks from his base wargear. If so wouldnt that mean they get 0 attacks if they opt for the shoota?

I'm guessing you have a non-English language codex, because some of the terms aren't exactly the same.
Ork boyz have 2 attacks base. Models get an extra attack for having 2 close combat weapons, not one extra attack per weapon. An ork with a slugga and choppa would have 3 attacks, 4 on the charge.
Models without a specific close combat weapon (such as an ork with a shoota) still have their normal attacks, in the case of an ork it's 2, or three on the charge.

But doesnt the pistol provide an extra attack? So that would be +2 because of two close combat weapons+1 pistol. So that would be 4? or is it differnt.

The pistol IS one of the 2 CC weapons that the Ork has, so it's just +1 attack for 3 in total (4 if assaulting).
In any case, the rulebook also says: "You only get one extra attack, even if you have more than two weapons".

Yep. To OP - a model armed with a single close combat weapon doesn't get +1 attack.
I would that the confusion is because you don't need a close combat weapon to fight in melee. Having 1 close combat weapon gets you no benefit. Having 2 close combat weapons gets +1 attacks. Having 3 or more close combat weapons gets +1 attack.
