An awesome tourney again this year.

Marines had most if not all of the top 5 overall's - with Ultramarine army (my buddy from Blade and Bolter boys) winning the overall.

The guys from HAAWGS run an awesome tourney down in Memphis!

I wonder how the IG armies did.

I can't wait to see what the top finishers armies looked like.

Maybe Clay can give us the low-down.

I know best overall was a pretty plain jane marines list played by Brian Crew.

Other than that we had a TON of CSM lists and alot of space marines as well.

Since I moved to Phoenix I have noticed that there is a ton of MEQ player.

I thought it might be a local phenomenon, but I am starting to see more and more of them else where.

Maybe in tournament play we have to back to the old days where the adage was to make a list that is good at killing MEQ.


I don't have access to the numbers, but I thought I saw that next weeks Necro tounament was very top heavy with MEQs.

My local group is marine heavy with an occasional nid, daemon, or ork army making an appearance. One of my hopes for the Waaagh was to play something different and I got 3 games in against armies I haven't played before: IG, CSM and Eldar.

When I heard about it (from Games Workshop's site) and went and looked a month or two ago, tickets were all sold out. :(

What's the best way of tracking what's going on around you for events? I've never ever been to a "big" 40k event aside from 'Ard Boyz preliminaries; just lots and lots of local tournaments, whenever I can find them (hunting through the calendars of shops within a few hour radius).

I thought every thing went well during Sats Apoc War on the Floor, on Sunday the real Cheese came out tempers started to flair...

Had a great time even tho my IG didn't do as well as I had hoped. Five lascannons just were not enough for the Land Raiders I faced, especially not the way I was rolling. The only Land Riader I killed, I killed by assaulting it with meltabombs........ Yes, IG, couldn't shoot down a Land Raider and killed it in assault.
