I've decided to sell some old models of mine as they serve no purpose to me, and I'd like to know how much they're worth.

10 OOP Bloodletters, 2 painted.

5 Grey Knight Terminators, All Painted (Gaming Quality)

1 Inquisitor Coteaz and Retinue, all Painted (Gaming Quality)

I'd think about $150...

$150 is more than you could buy those for new. I'm sorry but I think you would get buyers for more around the range of $75 to $100.

I just take a look at box price and round it down by about 10-20% or to the nearest 5$ or 10$. For example IIRC a box of eldar gaurdians is 38$ so I sell them for 30$-35$. Also I have a vindicator (old retro one) That costs like 55$ in the box so I sell it for 40$. When trading for models though I use full retail value ( 80$ in guys for 80$ in guys with both having the 80$ as the box price)

Well, Hmmm...

I'm thinking about $125, though I'm fine with $100 USD.

Thing is, the Bloodletters would have cost $45, but seeing as the new kit is $22, well see where it goes.

I pay LESS for painted models. Most people would prefer to paint themselves.

So assembled and painted models are often worth significantly less than box-fresh ones...

Probably about $75 but let ebay and the invisible hand of the market determine the value...

Painted mini are indeed worth less than box fresh ones unless your painting standard is very goo.

Typically, 30% below current retail is a fair price for NEW, unpainted minis.

Depending on the buyer, painted stuff is worth half retail (because they're going to strip it and repaint it), or full retail (because you've painted it)

Even then, painting could be a detriment. I'm not going to be inclined to purchase a set of minis whose paint job is either markedly superior to what the rest of my army is going to be sporting, or markedly different.

Its true, you would think more people would like to have their models pre painted but we really don't. It's a rare find if you do.

You say the words gaming quality, and I cringe abit. People rarely pay retail for gaming quality paintjobs, but it does happen.

The other thing to consider is desirability of the models. The cortez and retune isnt that desirable, but just about everyone who plays GKs uses terminators. My friend sold 12 well painted OOP Bloodletters and I think he only got 20 dollars for them. I feel like 75 is more than you'll get if you sell them, but less than they may be worth.
