Wow! Fantastic! I just found your blog, through the "cool image" on the main page. I love how you got the water to look like it's actually flowing (as opposed to merely dribbling out), and the paint and weathering is fantastic. Being able to watch the assembly take place (now that it's complete) is also great--thanks for sharing your process!

Thanks for compliment. My terrain has always been a labor of love and this last piece challenged me big time.
The inspiration I got was from Mike at Terranscapes. Check him out on YouTube, you will not regret it!
Update on the new building. I am trying to decide if I should paint the skull building tiles.
What do you guys think?

That's an interesting question. I mean, what is the intent, or your interpretation? It it actually crypt-like, or a reliquary of some sort--with actual human skulls embedded in the walls? Or is it merely architecture, with a Gothic skull theme? I have been thinking about this myself, and I actually like the idea of making them part of the structure--perhaps drybrushed a different, lighter tone, but stone nonetheless. I guess it depends on if you want the light skull color in your terrain or not.
Here's the image of the Golden Throne by Blanche which got me thinking about this, as a reference for the skulls--are they actual skulls? These ones look like it, like in a crypt under a Venetian cathedral somewhere.

I completely understand what you are saying. I think the problem is if I leave them blue then the building appears unfinished, if I paint them bronze then it all runs together.
I think I am going to take the plunge and paint them in varying shades of skull white.
Thanks for the input.

Very cool. Are they the new 32mm size or the old 25mm. I'm increasingly distressed by that change and by not knowing what I should do about it... I just wish GW would give us some clear communication--why all the mystery and lack of clarity?
Anyway, definitely very cool bases, and I look forward to seeing what you do with them. They will match the industrial feel of this piece very nicely, I think.
On another note, I have been watching Terranscapes videos since you pointed me in that direction. That guy is definitely amazing--thanks for the tip.

Here are the first two bases from Dragon Forge Bases.
I had to make sure that I could complete one every ten minutes . So as a result I needed a simple scheme that was easy to repeat 113 more times.
I love them! Thoughts ?

Yeah I figured on doing 10 at a time to keep it manageable. That is also why I put a 10 minute max of each base.
I would never get it otherwise

Wow! Fantastic scale to this army, and I think you are tying all the elements together very well. The flesh tones of the Ogryns is a nice contrast, as is the banner, to the greys. The camoflage is great, and the bases carry forward the consistent theme.

Quick question for you guys
Should I get another Knight Titan or get the AOS starter set?

Depends if you want a knight formation or a starter set for a completely different game. I really like the models for AoS, but am not a fan of the wide open rule set.
Oh, and if we are voting, I say pick up some admech to theme with the knights and play along side the guard.

For a small, basic force that would let you dip your toes in:
Codex: Skitarii
2x boxes of Skitarii Rangers/Vanguard (lets you double up on the same special weapons).
1x box of infiltrators
Total $157 at full retail.
Would add a Dunecrawler, more Infiltrators/Rangers and a squad of ironstriders later, still all under Skitarii book. Transition for full admech after would be easy.

That's a lot of models. Considering I'm still not done with my guard army I think I may get another knight Titan
Maybe do a demo game of AOS before I make my final choice. Those models are amazing
