Looking to sell large amount of Tau, wondering how much I should cap off the original price/ how much I should get rid of 'em for.

Selling the following :

30 Fire Warriors

4 Path Finders

10 Kroot

Etherial

2x Devilfish

Hammerhead with Rail Gun and Burst Cannons.

Codex (Newest One)

Old Black Case (Which will be included free of charge)

Advisement would be very much aprecieated

This is whow I usually work out the value of something.

Basic model is worth 50% off RRP second hand:-

Add 20% if NOS (New on sprue/assembled but no paint)
Add 15% if well painted( and by that, above tabletop standard)
Add 10% for nifty conversions
Add 20% If new codex in the last 12 months
Add 40% if pro painted( and I mean, golden demon entry level)
Add 5-40% Depending on rarity of certain models( so if it's been OOP and is a vintage component in great demand, it could add up to 40%. On the other hand, it could just be a gun, and add 5%

Add where appropriate, and that's usually what a model is worth roughly.

For example, if you took one of my converted Praetorian Sentinels. Basic sentinel is about £15, so the basic price is £7.50. It's well painted, so +20% gets it up to £10.50. Praetorians are rare and in great demand, so add another 30%. It's now at £15. It's converted, taking it up to £16.50. Last but not last, the guard codex was just released. As such, that rockets up to a mighty £19.50. That's roughly what I'd expect.

This is the orkish rule for selling stuff that's either in the box or just asembled:

I just take a look at box price and round it down by about 10-20% or to the nearest 5$ or 10$. For example IIRC a box of eldar gaurdians is 38$ so I sell them for 30$-35$. Also I have a vindicator (old retro one) That costs like 55$ in the box so I sell it for 40$. When trading for models though I use full retail value ( 80$ in guys for 80$ in guys with both having the 80$ as the box price). When painted I still follow the rule for trading models for models but I sell the item for about 25%-40% off depending on the quality.



EDIT- Of course Ketara's rules are better and in more detail but I'm just talking about regular models so sorry for not as much indepth as him. I usually get a nice amount of buyers selling like this though.
