Something I've been working on for some time and is steadily nearing completion. I still need to finish his right hand and his gun, as well as his various belts and I also need to give him a big cigar which is why his left hand is open. Other than that I'll be giving him a coat and cap as he's meant to be a Blood Axe Kaptin. I might have to make him an axe of some kind too, I don't suppose any self-respecting ork would go around without some kind of choppa.

I'd used Green Stuff to fill in gaps before but this is/was my first attempt at a self sculpt; I figured Games Workshop wasn't going to produce any Inquisitor scale orks any time soon so I better just get on and do my own.

It was the head that I started on first, after considering an ordinary plastic one for a long, long while. Probably too long.

I've had a few people say that and I have many plans for proper gangster orks. Alas my intention with this chap is more military but once he's done I'm going to have a bash at some gangster orks (Da Mob) with fedora's, spats on their shoes and nice pin-stripe suits.

Great lookin model! He looks sad though, like he has to shoot his Squig or something.

Looks like you considered that Ork head just long enough! It looks great.

I think it was seeing the basic geometry of the thing that eventually just clicked. If I'd just started trying to sculpt the head I don't think I would have got very far but after building up the basic shapes it was really just a case of filling in the gaps.

be carful about making him more human than ork remember an ork's body is mostly hunched forward try not to make him to upright.
apart from that its avery good bit of sculpting there so keep up the good work.

Cheers. Personally I don't really care for the way an ork's head sits right in front of its chest. I wanted mine to look more gorilla than Quasimodo. But that's the best thing about sculpting your own models, you can make them look however you want.

Yes, primarily it's for Inquisitor. I've made him a bit too big really but I did base his measurements on a Black Reach nob but then that's all part of the process, next time I'll know better.





As you can see, he's quite a bit taller than a human.

I think this awesome but i think his head needs to be lower.

Originally saw this over at the conclave, was impressed then and I am even more so now, that termie is coming along nicely too!

i think if the head were a touch lower, and he had a bit if a hunch to him (sorta like the ork boy model) he wouldn't seem to tower quite as much.

It's in the very first post. His hand is open because he's going to be holding a big cigar

Looks pretty cool man. I thikn the terminator is a big humongous. Personally I think the Orks head is just fine where it is. Still watching lol
