It's been a long while since I updated this thread but since I've done as much work on this model as I can be bothered to do before painting I thought I'd post up the final pictures.

Awesome models, but I'd ork up the weapon more. The pistol looks too much like an oversized M1911 or F-92.

The "uniform" is somehow off-putting. Jacket, belt and boots look somehow rather ww2 german to me, the greatcoat and cap ww2 russian. Coupled with what could be mistaken for a colt, this gives a lot of cognitive dissonance.

His uniform is based on a generic WW1 officer uniform with coat and cap inspired by some Mark Gibbons artwork of a Blood Axe. I ripped him apart a long time ago though so...

It was, cheap leather from an old wallet, not the nicest to work with but I found it a lot easier to do with actual leather (plus nice texture effect) than working with just Green Stuff. The only problem with a material that thick (which in reality is quite thin but...) on a model it is difficult to nigh on impossible to get creases and folds that mimic full sized garments. I used some cotton from an old handkerchief to make Gogsnik Mk2's camo-cloak and I was very pleased with how that turned out on account of the material being thinner and giving better creases and wrinkles.
