If you sent instant payment to another Dakkites for a deal arranged about a month ago and still have not received your items??

You have enquired several times and been given a variety of excuses, you asked for a refund but was refused and were told that item will be sent.

What would you do??

At this point you file a complaint through paypal.

If you paid by check, report it in the forum and pretty much write it off.

Wonder if I got ripped off, hope I didn't get ripped off, then wonder where I am going to buy the stuff from now.

You can always call them out, although the Mods will lock the thread in all likelihood.

Talk to the swap shop mods through P.M. because they will have the most relevant information to your trade. If you traded internationally don't even bother, just hope they are actually going to send it.

Hate to say it but you just got scammed.
Contact my Paypal/CreditCard/Bank and reverse payment asap and file for fraud.

Your refund was refused cause your payment is already spent and said person is haveing a good larf at your expense.

Reason #4,000,001 why I wont buy anything of this site.

You need to ask the seller for proof they sent something.
(Receipt from the post office , tracking number , confirmations etc etc )

You can paste the conversation here so we can take a look at it.

Show this thread to the person.

And one very important thing to remember . If the item is delivered to your house, ask the delivery person to stay while you open the box.
check the contents. If its at post office , bring a camera and open it there.

(the above is important incase they decide to mess with the trade content just to get away with the paypal protection )

It looks like i've been scammed, thats not nice i'm sure you will agree. I have have 100% sucess with trades on Dakka so far - this is my first bad experience.

You traded in England I take it? I am pretty sure someone knows somebody that knows this guys Mum, and she won't be very happy to hear about this.

I wish it worked like this though, Mums are usually ten times better than police at keeping riots in line. I always wondered why the riot police weren't just conscripted mothers, they would end the party with a bang.

Wresasaur - this guy does seem to be a kid because he has mentioned his mum not posting the item as a reason a couple of times .........

I had a trade on PP's website go bad several years ago. I kept getting excuses about delays, and recieving the "I'm sorry", etc... I started a thread and basically just asked about what I can do about it legally.

I got my stuff the next week.

I recommend...

Threaten with legal action. If he is a kid and his parents get a letter informing of this then you bet you will get exactly what you want and you will have some revenge.

Unless the parents don't give a crap then actually use legal action and own him.

Or you know send a trained but rabid primate or raccoon to his residence... Nothing says owned better than making the person take needle shots in their stomach for a few weeks.

you can also sacrifice a fattened calf to tiamat. Both things will result in roughly the same results.

I mean, you're right, and who knows, it's possible the feds will care about this one. Odds are, not really. It also appears that she's in England...
