And deservedly so!

You would be wrong. This thread should be locked when one of two things happens:
- the
OP gets his money back
- the
OP gets the goods that he paid for
Just because you don't want others to know the facts that you suck as a trading partner, that's not a reason to lock the thread.

Naturally, you'll be able to prove that, and this isn't just the standard lame-o excuse that "I / someone I love was sick" to deflect the heat?
I've seen so many variations of this excuse, and all of them lame, unless you've got a dated hospital record as proof, I think it's no better than claiming the dog ate your homework.

So now, you admit that you're not responsible for fulfilling on your business obligations?
If she didn't make the agreement to do the deal, she's not responsible. *You* are.
Perhaps when you're ready to be treated as an adult, you'll take proper responsibility for our actions and obligations, rather than acting like a grade-schooler dependent upon mummy & daddy.

Jack.
Exactly. This is the first, and only, thing that you've posted that I would agree with.

Except, that's the facts of the situation, like it or not.
If this were Bartertown, you'd have this attached as a permanent part of your trading record, instantly visible via the references attached to your name &
ID.

If you wait a month, the PayPal window will have closed and you will have lost your money.
Actually, if you wait a couple weeks, the scammer can withdraw the money, and you'll get a PayPal note saying "we found in your favor, but recover no money for you."
Personally, I wouldn't wait more than a few days on PayPal. PayPal payment is instantaneous, so there is no excuse not to demand immediate shipment to go with immediate payment.
