I figured this would be something nice to learn a bit about where people go to escape from the world for a little while.

But, a few rules.

1. If your happy place is an S&M club, don't post pics. Please.
2. You can have more then one happy place.
3. Provide a few reason why it is your happy place.

My basement. It is my happy place because I can come down here and use the weight bench, punch the bag, or just enjoy it's quiet when my brother is fighting with my parents.

I usually boot up the PC and play some Xbox games or chat online, thats my de-stress button and where I relax.

My happy place is our TV room,I close the door chill infront of the heater draw a little and the world becomes mellow and I calm down.

Any place that plays Barry White. I usually had to be careful where I went if stupid people would be there, but now all I have to do is bring an mp3 and listen to Barry.
I can't get enough of his love(ly voice.)

Wherever I can play my music and paint miniatures without constant interruptions. Sometimes I'll go to my FLGS and just sit and put together some miniatures and listen to other people talk about gaming. No TV, no radio, no Mad Max traffic.

Happy place is my den (aka the Man Cave). I've got my tv with Satellite, NES, and SNES. There is a reclining love seat, my display case for the minis, my painting desk, a computer desk, and an area for my gaming table. All I need is a bead curtain, but the misses won't go for that.

That would be the cabin that my lady and I stay at every time I visit her in the US, when I'm over there full time, we will have a place by the water, surrounded by trees and no close neighbours. Being there is a glimpse of how it's going to be when we have sorted everything out and can finally settle down properly. So content there it's amazing. It's nothing grand, but for a little while, it is ours.

I used to retreat to an abandoned tree house in a wooded area near my house that used to be houses fifty years ago and drink cheap wine sold to me by a liquor store clerk who was too old and blind to know she was selling to kids. It wasn't quiet, being next to the interstate, but nobody except me and a few friends knew about it. When we got bored we would shoot squirrels with a BB gun and let feral cats have them to eat.

Basically, my happy place changes constantly, If I want quiet, my house, if I want happenin', mall, if I want to paint etc., FLGS, if I want a "man cave", friends house that has video games, esp. Rock Band.

Walking dog, unless other dogs get uppity and come at us. Did have a horse come up to us once, that was way cool.

the third floor of my house. It's the gaming room, so that's where all my cousin's and friends go when they come over.

Ditto on the car. When I want to just get away from everything, I take a drive. Doesn't matter where to or for why. I just drive. That's how I ended up in South Carolina without realizing I was going there.
