Just a snippet of info about my CSM army The Chameleons. Gotta do the rest of the stuff later. Wondering what people think so far.

Background
The Chameleons are devout worshipers of Tzeentch. Originally a loyalist chapter led by Khal Dalthus the Chameleons fell to the power of Tzeentch after coming in contact with the demon princess known as Terish. The chapter invaded and took over the planet Valesorna. Valesorna is covered in jungle well as desert and soon became the Chameleon’s home world.

It was after this time that Khal Dalthus learned of the great ruins that lay hidden in the jungles of Valesorna. As Khal and his men ventured into the jungle they discovered a great ziggurat covered and hidden in dense overgrowth. Inside they ventured to find a room with hundreds of pictures upon the walls and words written in an ancient dialect. Inside the center of the room lay a sarcophagus with a great eye upon it. Finding himself drawn to it he forced his men to open it. To their surprise inside lay an infant. As if being awakened for the first time the infant cried. Confused by the discovery Khal picked up the child and as he did the connection to Terish was made. The voice of a woman echoed in his ears. She called to him and offered him the power of her God. Khal soon realizing the baby was not a baby but rather a child of demons and put the baby back into the sarcophagus. Pulling out his chainsword he readied himself to attack, but found himself unable to as his body refused. Confused he looked to his men who seemed to be in awe of the child. Picking the child back up Khal left the ziggurat and returned to his bastion.

Two weeks passed and as they did the child grew quickly into a beautiful and attractive woman. She learned to speak quickly and called herself Terish. All those who had come in contact with Terish soon found themselves in awe of her presence. Khal who was the only one who seemed to keep his willpower around Terish soon find himself interested in her offer of power after seeing what her presence did to his men.

More weeks passed and as they did Terish began to teach Khal of sorcery and as she did he began to desire more and more power. Months passed as Khal devoted himself to the power Terish taught him and soon the allure of the dark God Tzeentch was too provocative to ignore. Without bloodshed or argument all of Khal’s men followed him in the quest for power and swore allegiance to Tzeentch.

Hundreds of years passed and the Chameleons had become devout worshipers of Tzeentch branded by their brothers as traitors. The most devoted of Khal’s men became his sorcerers and together the chapter spread the word of Tzeentch to all of the planets they invaded. Taking in cults the number of planets the Chameleons ruled grew in size and their reputation with the chaos warbands and legions increased.

Soon it was evident to Tzeentch that the Chameleons would be of great use for now and Terish was gifted with the power to turn the armor of the legion into an enchanted material that reflected its surroundings. The demon princess taught Khal and his most devoted sorcerers how to cast this powerfully chaotic spell. The armor now acted like the skin of the reptile that lived on Terra in which the Chameleons were named after. With the power to meld into their environment they began to use ambush and stealth tactics which has helped them to capture and convert more people into cultists of Tzeentch.

The Chameleons are at odds with several chaos warbands from various encounters over the hundreds of years that they have been around, but they have allied themselves strongly with The Flawless Host warband. It is not uncommon to see a member of The Flawless Host inside of the ranks of the Chameleons on less covert ops missions.
