Got the first set of my models today. One Catachan Battle Battleforce, 2 Boxes of Jungle Fights, and a Command Squad. After modeling for the majority of the day my first squad is done. They are a mixture of bits I had laying around and one of the squads from the battleforce. They don't have their small touch up's done to them yet like scars and chaos tattoos, but I wanted to show them off anyways. So here they are. I'll be trying to keep up with this blog frequently as I continue to model in the future. Sorry if some of the pics come out iffy i left my lighting box back home (At school right now) so until I come up with a better solution the pictures won't be as good as they can be.

The flag holes need more hacking and roughing up it looks to much like you just drilled it. Also as a chaos army it needs more spikes and skulls probably. That said they seem to be coming along nicely.

Yea I agree flag needs more work, the bullet holes came that way, but I see what your saying about them needing some roughing up.

What parts is the first guy made of? I really like him, though I agree that the flag could use some more cutting and such.

I think the holes are supposed to be from las rounds, which would burn, rather than tear their way through the banner. Scorch marks around the holes would be simpler than trying to hack the flag apart some more.

The combination of bits is looking really good. Looking forward to seeing more

Nice work. How did you get the flag so smooth? I've been wondering how to do it as I don't want the Cadian Gate on my Home-made regiment.

For the flag's smoothness I put some plastic glue on the original symbol let it set for a few mins then scrapped it off, then repeated the process until it was pretty smooth and then put a final coat of plastic glue and let the plastic glue set to give it the final smooth sheen you see there. To be honest I have no idea how it'll turn out, but once primered on top of painting over it shouldn't be much of an issue. Scrapping the symbol off with a scalpel by hand was too much of a hassle.

Yea I have a pretty good idea of what I want from them as an army now, my main thing is that each model is a bit unique from the others which will in some cases has to be presented when I paint them.

I got a 1500 pt list I wrote up for them and I've been building them based off that, so we shall see how it goes.

Looks damn good. So damn good you got me to go back and finish collecting/building/painting my Flesh Tearers. I have a feeling that our two fluff armies meeting on the field of felt will be epic. Just a little look into what I'm goin with, look for almost all RAS w/ jp, dante (counts as Flesh Tearers Cpt.), and "honor gaurd" of Sanguinary gaurd. Still wanna play around with some ideas, but I think this list will be hard and fast, not too mention very Flesh Tearers like with mostly, if not all, assault. If anything should be a battle with a whole lot o blood for the blood god

some very nice converting work. And that's a cool idea for scraping the icon off the flag - I'll have to remember that, I'm sure the technique will come in handy some day.

Im liking this. You can gurentee you will never turn up to a game and see someone with the same army.

Also, id go with the second Commander, The waistcoat makes him look more official, and the Bionic Chain Arm is awesome too.

Just because I don't care, Doesn't mean I don't understand!

Thanks for the comments, I think #2 is def going to be the Commander for Platoon #1. Also I'll check out those heads. Here are the pics for Squad 4. You may notice the glue melt thing done to some of their faces this is because this troop at some point in their career ran into a little acid "accident" which got most them face melted.

Looking great! As far as your commander the second is by far the better choice, maybe a little green stuff around his bionic arm to make the metal look fused to the skin. I am stoked for our upcoming battle this holiday season. Gonna be epic
