After a lot of discussion re casting/remodelling/etc, I had a thought - in a recent White Dwarf, Jervis J mentioned in his standard bearer using 'old skool' models in gaming, not just collecting. His specific example was using a Vampire model armed with (i think)
two pistols as being armed instead with
two wands of fireball (or as close as I can remember, I dont play
WHFB). Now
JJ appeared perfectly happy to play this model, and (apparently) statisfy
WYSIWYG with a simple heads up to his opponent ("Hi mate, this gun toting Vamp actually has two wands, they are just modeled as guns, and they shoot flaming skulls. Cool hey?").
On this basis, do you think these satisfy
WYSIWYG:
1) A Daemon Prince on a floating Palanquin - counts as winged? An idea Im tossing around for a
DP project (the other idea was a Baron Harkonnen bloated floaty guy for Nurgle
DP)
2)
CSM armed with arcane wands of flaming skulls!!! Counts as melta guns. Ok, the wands idea may be lame, but provided they dont look like plasma guns or flamers, would this suffice?
3) An 'Ogre Fist' modeled into a 'Power fist' or 'Lightning Claws' for a Aspiring Champion (aka

Just looking at the meltagun issue, if you can add flexibility on what 'counts as' whilst staying with in
wysiwyg, that opens up other options for financially disadvantaged modellers.
I added this to the P&M forum, as whilst it may be viewed as a 'rule' question, knowing the populace's views may influence P&M decisions (for example, if the palanquin wouldnt be accepted, then I might go a jet pack etc). Im happy if this gets moved.
(also, if you have a conversion in this vein, maybe post a pic here so we can look at it!).
